Abstract

L'invention concerne un système générateur de gaz inerte permettant de générer un gaz inerte dans un véhicule possédant un réservoir à carburant et un système de mise à l'air de réservoir à carburant. Le système décrit comprend une entrée recevant un flux de gaz qui contient un composant azote et un composant oxygène en provenance d'une source de gaz, un échangeur de chaleur placé en aval de cette entrée et en communication fluidique avec cette dernière, servant à refroidir le gaz venant de l'entrée, et un module de séparation de gaz situé en aval de l'échangeur de chaleur et en communication fluidique avec ce dernier, servant à séparer le gaz provenant de l'échangeur chaleur de manière à produire un flux de gaz enrichi en azote, et un flux de gaz enrichi en oxygène. Le module de séparation de gaz est conçu pour permettre l'acheminement de gaz enrichi en azote provenant du flux de gaz enrichi en azote dans le réservoir à carburant sans le faire passer à travers le système de mise à l'air du réservoir à carburant. Le module de séparation de gaz est également conçu pour permettre l'acheminement du gaz enrichi en azote provenant du flux de gaz enrichi en azote dans le système de mise à l'air du réservoir à carburant.
