Abstract

 材料強度および経済性に優れ、なおかつ吸着性や微生物固定化性などの水質浄化に寄与する特性に優れた、水制工用として好適な水質浄化体を篭工や沈床工の詰石として用いた水制構造物、当該水質浄化体を用いた水制工用コンクリートブロック、およびこれらを用いた水制工法を提供するために、バインダーとゼオライトとを必須原料として混合、焼成してなり、かつ組成中のゼオライト成分が50重量%未満である、高強度でかつアンモニア吸着性および微生物付着性に優れた水質浄化体を提供する。

技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、特定組成のゼォライト含有水質浄ィ匕体を河川や湖沼における護岸ェゃ 沈床ェ等の水制ェに用いられる篕ゃ枠に充填してなる水制構造物、当該水質浄ィ匕 体が表面に固着された水制ェ用コンクリートブロック、およびこれらを用いた水制ェ 法に関する。
背景技術
[0002] 河川や湖沼における護岸や護床などの水制ェには様々な方法があるが、古くから 知られる工法としては、例えば、直方体や円筒形状の篕に玉石や割石などの詰石を 行い、これを設置するふとん篕ェゃ蛇篕ェ、木材製、コンクリート製、铸鉄製の枠を 組み立て、その内部に詰石を行う粗朶沈床ェ、木工沈床ェ、改良沈床ェなどがある 。また、高度成長期以後には、施工の効率性や強度が重視されるようになり、主にコ ンクリートを用いた水制ェが上記篕ェゃ沈床ェに代わって広く用いられるようになつ た。
[0003] しかし、コンクリートを主に用いた水制ェは、そこに生息する多様な生物の生態系を 破壊してしまう恐れがあり、近年高まっている自然環境を保護し、創出するという思想 の流れに逆行するものである。そこで、近年では、多様な生物が生息するに適した環 境を提供することができる上記篕ェゃ沈床ェが見直されつつあり、これらの施工性、 強度、水質浄ィ匕性などを改良した様々な技術が開発されている (例えば、日本国特 開 10— 77620号公報、日本国特開 2001— 55716号公報、日本国特開 2001— 1 40240号公報)。さらに、コンクリートのメリットを生力しつつ、自然環境にも配慮した コンクリートブロックによる水制工法も開発されている(例えば、日本国特開 2000— 3 28574号公報)。
[0004] 一方、水質、土壌、大気汚染の原因物質を吸着することのできる環境調和型材料と してゼォライトが注目されている。このゼォライトは、ミクロ多孔質のアルミノシリケート 結晶の総称であり、 lnm以下のミクロ細孔とその骨格のもつ負電荷により、優れた分 子吸着'ふるい作用、イオン交換作用を示すため、水質浄化体として広く用いられて いる。
[0005] ゼォライトの特性を生力した水質浄ィ匕体は、通常、ゼォライトをバインダーや水と共 に混練、成形、焼成して得られる焼成体である。このような焼成体に関する従来技術 としては、例えば、ゼォライトの吸着、触媒性能を確保するためにバインダー含有量 を減少させ、ゼォライト含有量を可能な限り高めようとするもの (例えば、日本国特開 2 - 160616号公報)ゃセピオライト型粘土ゃァタパルジャイト型粘土などの特殊なバ インダーを用いることで用途に応じた多孔性と材料強度を確保しょうとするもの(例え ば、 日本国特開 11— 246282号公報)などが挙げられる。
[0006] また、ゼォライトを河川'湖沼などの水質浄ィ匕に利用する技術として、 日本国登録実 用新案第 3093415号公報や日本国特開 2000— 26488号公報のごとぐ護岸コン クリート材料に石炭灰カゝら合成されたゼオライト粉末を混入したものも提案されている 発明の開示
[0007] 上記篕ェゃ沈床ェにおいては、その篕ゃ枠内に充填されている詰石の表面に自 然に付着する微生物の作用により水質浄化機能を発揮するものであるが、詰石とし て一般的に用いられている玉石や割石などの自然石は、微生物の担持体として特段 に優れているものではなぐまた、それ自体が有効な水質浄化機能を有するものでは ないから、微生物膜の付着状況に応じて水質浄化機能が大きく左右されることになり 、その機能は決して優れているとはいえない。従来技術においては、篕ゃ枠内にお ける自然石の配置や大きさ、充填割合などを種々変更したり、自然石に植物を植生 させたりすることで、その水質浄化機能を向上させようとするものが大半であるが、自 然石を詰石として用いている以上、飛躍的な水質浄化機能の向上を望むことができ ないことは上記理由から明らかである。したがって、篕ェゃ沈床ェにおける水質浄ィ匕 機能を飛躍的に向上させるためには、水制ェ用として適した性質を有する水質浄ィ匕 体を開発し、これを詰石として用いる必要があるといえる。水制ェ用として適した性質 を有する水質浄化体には、優れた水質浄化機能を有することはもちろん、自然の生 態系を破壊する可能性の低い原料組成であること、長期にわたり水に曝されてもその 形状を容易に失うことな ヽ優れた強度を有すること、メンテナンスフリーで長期にわた りその機能を維持できること、大量生産が可能で低コストであることなど、様々な特性 が要求される。
[0008] ここで、上記従来技術のゼォライト含有焼成体を水質浄化体として用いることが考 えられるが、従来型の焼成体は、ゼォライトを主成分として 50重量%以上使用したり 、特殊な粘土を使用したりするために高価なものになってしまう。さらに、ゼォライトを 主成分として 50重量%以上配合すると可塑性が著しく失われてしまうため、有機バイ ンダーを配合する必要が生じるが、焼成体の材料強度は低下し製造コストは高くなつ てしまう。また、焼成体の強度を確保するために 800〜1200°Cの高温で焼成を行つ ているが、これによりゼォライトが非晶質ィ匕し、本来ゼォライトが持つ有用な化学的特 性を損なってしまうという問題がある。さらに、材料強度と成形自由度を両立させるこ とが困難であるという問題もある。
[0009] さらに、ゼォライトは、イオン交換作用により優れたアンモニア吸着能力を有するが 、吸着力が強いため、微生物による再生は困難であると言われてきた。これを水質浄 ィ匕に適用するためには、再生の問題が解決されなければならない。特に河川 '湖沼' 池などの直接浄ィ匕に用いる場合には、吸着破過するごとに水中から取り出して処理 を施すようではコストの面だけを考えてもとても実用化には至らない。すなわち、水中 に設置されたゼオライト吸着体は、吸着した NH
4 +を微生物の働きにより脱着、硝化、さ らには脱窒まで効率良く行えるような生物相が形成されることが重要となる。
[0010] 以上のような理由により、従来型の焼成体はコストや強度の観点力 水制ェ用とし て適した性質を有する水質浄ィ匕体であるとは 、えな 、。
[0011] また、コンクリートにゼォライトを含有させたものに関しては、コンクリート中のアル力 リ環境下ではゼオライト結晶構造が長期間安定を保つことはなぐゼォライト本来が持 つ有用な化学特性を損なってしまうという問題点がある。また、ゼォライトの吸水性に よりコンクリートのヮ一力ピリティが低下するため、コンクリート内に配合できるゼォライ ト量は対セメント量の 10〜20wt%が限界であり、結果として成形体に含まれる純粋 なゼオライト成分はわず力となり、成形物としてゼォライトの特性を発揮することは難し いと考えられる。
[0012] 上記を鑑みて、本発明は、生態系を破壊する恐れがない原料のみを用い、大量生 産が可能で、低コストで、コンクリートと同等以上の強度を有し、成形自由度が高ぐ なおかつ半永久的にメンテナンスフリーで優れた水質浄化機能を維持するこのでき る、水制ェ用として好適な水質浄化体を開発し、これを篕ェゃ沈床ェの詰石として用 いた水制構造物、当該水質浄ィ匕体を用いた水制ェ用コンクリートブロック、およびこ れらを用いた水制工法を提供することを目的とする。
[0013] 上記課題を解決するために鋭意検討した結果、発明者らは、バインダー材料の厳 選とその調合割合により多孔性と強度特性という相反する特性を同時に満たし、なお かつ成形性や低コストといった要求をも満たした水質浄ィ匕体を製造することに成功し 、本発明を為すに至った。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0042] 本発明の水制構造物は、バインダーとゼォライトとを必須原料として混合、焼成して なり、かつ組成中のゼォライト成分が 50重量%未満である水質浄ィ匕体を水制ェに用 いる篕または枠に充填してなることを特徴とするものである。
[0043] 上記ノインダ一としては、可塑性粘土原料および/または釉原料を含むものである ことが好ましい。
[0044] 上記可塑性粘土原料は、主にカオリナイト、ノヽロイサイト、セリサイト、モンモリロナイ トなどの粘土鉱物をその組成に含むものである。このような可塑性粘土原料は、これ までにも愛知、岐阜、三重などの東海地方、特に、岐阜県東濃地方において陶器用 粘土原料として過去数百年にわたり使用されてきたものであり、成形性、多孔性、低 温焼結が大変優れている。本発明に用いることのできる可塑性粘土原料としては、例 えば、木節粘土、蛙目粘土、カオリン、頁岩粘土、せっ器粘土、赤土、青土、陶石、 ベントナイト、ろう石、セピオライト、ァタパルジャイトなどが挙げられ、これらは 1種また は 2種以上同時に用いることができる。本発明では、木節粘土、蛙目粘土、カオリン、 頁岩粘土、陶石を用いることが好ましぐ蛙目粘土、陶石を用いることがより好ましい。 また、可塑性粘土原料の粒径を 5 m以下に調整すると、水質浄化体の強度を向上 させることができるため特に好まし!/、。
[0045] 上記釉原料は、一般的に釉薬 (ゆうやく)、上薬 (うわぐすり)と呼ばれ、陶磁器の表 面に施される薄いガラス質のケィ酸混合物である。本発明においては、この釉原料は 、水質浄化体を構成しうる一成分であり、その可塑性を調節し、強度増加させ、気孔 量の制御をを行う効果を有する。このような釉原料としては、特に限定されないが、例 えば、カリ長石、ソーダ長石、ぺグマタイト長石、アプライト、藻珪 (さば)などの長石、 マグネサイト、ドロマイト、石灰石、滑石、ウォラストナイト、フリットなどが挙げられ、これ らは 1種または 2種以上同時に用いることができる。本発明においては、コスト抑制や 強度発現の観点から、長石、マグネサイト、ドロマイト、石灰石を用いることが好ましい 。なお、マグネサイトは、マグネシウムの炭酸塩鉱物であり、別名、菱苦土鉱ともいい 、また、ドロマイトは、カルシウムとマグネシウムの炭酸塩鉱物であり、白雲石ともいう。
[0046] バインダーの原料組成は、使用するゼオライト、水質浄化体のコストや所望の強度 等により適宜決定すればよぐ特に限定されないが、例えば、上記ゼォライトとしてェ 業合成ゼォライトを用いる場合には、成形性を確保するために可塑性粘土原料を必 須成分として含むバインダーを用い、釉原料は水質浄ィ匕体の強度を向上させる目的 で適宜配合しうる。また、ゼォライト成分以外の成分が組成中に含まれ、なおかつそ の可塑性が元々比較的良好な天然ゼォライトや石炭灰合成ゼォライトを上記ゼオラ イトとして用いる場合には、釉原料のみをバインダーとして配合することもできる。
[0047] また、可塑性粘土原料と釉原料を混合したバインダーを使用する場合、上記可塑 性粘土原料は、バインダー中、 30〜95重量%含まれることが好ましぐ 40〜70重量 %含まれることがより好ましい。また、上記釉原料は、バインダー中、 5〜70重量%含 まれることが好ましぐ 20〜50重量%含まれることがより好ましい。さらに、可塑性粘 土原料と釉原料の最適な配合比は、実際に使用する可塑性粘土原料と釉原料の組 み合わせにより異なるため、適宜求めることが望ましい。例えば、水質浄化体の強度 や気孔率を優れたものとするために可塑性粘土原料として蛙目粘土を用い、釉原料 として長石、ドロマイト、石灰石のいずれかを用いる場合には、蛙目粘土を 40〜60重 量%、長石、ドロマイト、石灰石のいずれかを 40〜60重量%とすることが好ましぐ可 塑性粘土原料として蛙目粘土を用い、釉原料としてマグネサイトを用いる場合には、 蛙目粘土を 70〜90重量%、マグネサイトを 10〜30重量%とすることが好ましい。

[0049] 本発明における水質浄ィ匕体原料に用いるゼォライトとしては、例えば、クリノプチ口 ライト、モルデナイトなどの天然ゼォライト、 A型、 X型、 Y型、 USY型 (超安定 Y型)、 ZSM— 5などの合成ゼォライトが挙げられる力 500°C以上の耐熱性と lOOmeqZl OOg以上の陽イオン交換容量もしくは 300m2/g以上の比表面積を備えているもの であれば特に限定されな!、。コストや環境保護の観点力 は天然ゼォライトであること が好ましい。また、本発明においては、ゼォライトの各種特性を有する多孔体をゼォ ライトとして使用しても良い。ゼォライトの特性を有する多孔体とは、例えば、 2〜50n mの細孔径を有し、かつ細孔径分布が非常に狭 、ことを特徴とするメソ多孔体 (メソ ポーラス物質)が挙げられ、より具体的には、 FSM— 16や MCM— 41などが挙げら れる。
[0050] また、上記ゼォライトとして、石炭灰、溶融スラグ、珪素質汚泥、上下水道汚泥焼却 灰、ごみ焼却灰、製紙スラッジ、铸物スラッジ、凝灰岩、火山灰、砂利くず、アルミドロ ス、含アルミニウム廃液、含珪素廃液などの廃棄物をアルカリ処理して生成されるゼ オライトを使用することもできる。このようなゼォライトとしては、例えば、ホージャサイト 、フィリップサイト、水和ソーダライトなどが挙げられ、特に限定されないが、本発明で は、石炭灰合成ゼォライトを用いることが好ましぐ石炭灰合成 X型ゼオライト、石炭 灰合成 Y型ゼオライトおよび石炭灰合成 A型ゼオライトの 、ずれかもしくはこれらを 2 種以上同時に用いることがより好ましい。石炭火力発電所から発生する石炭灰は年 々増加しており、その大半は、現在、セメントの混和剤として有効活用されているが、 本発明におけるゼォライトとして用いることで今後も増加するであろう石炭灰を有効に 活用することができ、なおかつ、コストや環境保護に貢献することが可能となる。石炭 灰は組成としてシリカ分力 5〜74%、アルミナ分が 16〜38%含まれる力 ムライト、 石英などの結晶質部分はアルカリ水溶液に容易に解けないため、現在のところ石炭 灰の X型ゼオライト転換率は約 15%であり、この合成率を高めるための研究が継続 的に行われているところである。
[0051] なお、本発明に用いる合成ゼォライトや廃棄物から合成されるゼオライトを製造する 方法や原料のケィバン比、アルカリの種類、アルカリ濃度、圧力、撹拌、温度などの 条件は、公知の製法や条件でよぐ特に限定されない。
[0052] また、本発明における水質浄ィ匕体原料として、上記バインダーおよびゼォライトの ほかに、水質浄ィ匕体の特性を低下させない範囲で石炭灰を直接加えてもよぐこの 場合も、石炭灰の有効利用に貢献することができる。なお、本発明に用いる石炭灰、 または上記石炭灰合成ゼォライトに用いる石炭灰のケィバン比 (シリカ Zアルミナ比) などの組成や物性などは特に限定されないが、カルシウム成分が 15重量%以下で あるものが好ましく、さらに、硫黄、リン、ヒ素の含有量がより少ないものが好ましい。
[0053] また、本発明における水質浄ィ匕体原料には、着色を目的としてクロム、マンガン、コ バルト、ニッケル等の遷移金属の酸化物、酸化アンチモン、ベンガラ(酸ィ匕鉄)、酸ィ匕 第二銅などを配合してもよい。さら〖こ、増量材、廃棄物有効利用の観点から、可塑性 、焼成体強度を損なわない範囲で、上記廃棄物の他、ガラス粉末、铸物砂、キラ、セ ルペン (窯業廃棄物)、石粉 (採石製造廃棄物)、スラグ系廃棄物などを配合してもよ い。
[0054] 本発明に用いる水質浄ィ匕体は、必須原料であるバインダーとゼォライト、ならびに 必要に応じて添加される各種添加剤を適宜量の水と混練し、所望形状に成形し、焼 成することで製造することができる。必須原料それぞれの配合量は、焼成後のゼオラ イト成分が 50重量%未満となるように配合すればよぐ特に限定されないが、バイン ダーを 50〜98重量%、ゼォライトを 50重量%未満とすることが好ましい。これによれ ば、従来製品よりも低コストであり、多孔性を保持しながらコンクリートと同等以上の強 度を有し、なおかつ活性炭を上回るアンモニア吸着性に顕著に優れた水質浄ィ匕体を 得ることが可能となる。なお、上記ゼォライトの配合量は、通常の合成ゼォライトであ れば、その配合量をそのまま水質浄ィ匕体中のゼォライト成分とみなすことができるが 、天然ゼォライトや石炭灰合成ゼォライトの場合には、ゼォライト成分以外の物質が 多く含まれるため、その配合量をそのまま水質浄ィ匕体中のゼォライト成分とみなすこ とはできない。つまり、天然ゼォライトや石炭灰合成ゼォライトの配合量が 50重量% を超えて!/、ても、水質浄ィ匕体に含まれるゼォライト成分が 50重量%未満であれば、 本発明に用いる水質浄ィ匕体として扱うことができる。
[0055] また、上記焼成時における焼成条件としては、水質浄化体の形状、大きさ等により 適宜決定すればよぐ特に限定されないが、本発明における水質浄化体は、その原 料であるバインダーを厳選することで従来と比較して低温度で焼結することが可能と なっているため、できる限り低温に設定し、ゼォライトの多孔性を維持することが望ま しい。具体的には、 500〜700°Cの温度で 30分〜 2時間程度焼成することが好ましく 、 A型ゼオライト、 X型ゼオライト、 Y型ゼオライトおよび石炭灰合成ゼォライトを用いる 場合には 600〜650°C、天然ゼォライトや USY型ゼオライトなどのハイシリカ型のゼ オライトを用いる場合には 600〜700°Cで 1時間程度焼成することがより好ましい。焼 成温度が 500°C未満であると成形体に十分な強度を与えることができず、 700°Cを 越えると曲げ強度は向上するものの、ゼォライトの結晶構造の変化により、イオン交 換能力、吸着力の低下が生じ、特に 1000°C付近では、ゼォライトが非晶質ィ匕してし まうため、その優れた化学特性が全て損なわれてしまう。
[0056] また、上記成形の方法としては、特に限定されな!、が、例えば、铸込み成形、プレ ス成形、押し出し成形、機械ろくろ成形等による成形などの大量製造用セラミックス製 造方法により行うことができる。また、その形状や寸法は所望に加工することができ、 特に限定されない。
[0057] また、本発明における水質浄化体は、その比表面積が 20m2Zg以上で、かつ曲げ 強度が 2MPa以上であることが好ましぐ比表面積が 30m2Zg以上で、かつ曲げ強 度が 3MPa以上であることがより好まし 、。
[0058] 上記のような水質浄ィ匕体は、組成中のゼォライト成分の割合を 50重量%以下とし、 ノインダ一の配合割合を高めているため、従来のゼォライト含有水質浄ィ匕体と比較し て、高強度、高成形自由度、低コストを達成することができる。さらに、ゼォライト成分 の割合が従来のゼォライト含有水質浄ィ匕体と比較して 50重量%未満と少ないにもか かわらず、優れた多孔性を実現し、その吸着性能は活性炭と同等以上である。すな わち、本発明に用いる水質浄ィ匕体は、生産性、強度、成形自由度、経済性、水質浄 ィ匕機能の全てに優れるものであり、水制ェ用の詰石として好適なものであるいえる。
[0059] また、本発明に用いる水質浄ィ匕体は、アンモニア性窒素の吸着性能に優れるばか りでなぐ活性炭にも匹敵する微生物固定ィ匕能を有するため、水質浄化体に吸着し たアンモニア性窒素は、微生物により効率的に硝化'脱着される。それゆえ、水質浄 化体の吸着性能を長期にわたり維持することが可能となり、水質浄化機能の向上に も大きく貢献することが可能となる。
[0060] また、本発明に用いる水質浄ィ匕体の形状は、特に限定されないが、中空形状であ ることが好ましい。中空形状とすることで水との接触面積および水の滞留時間が増加 し、水質浄化機能を向上させることが可能となる。また、浄ィ匕体表面は凹凸形状であ ることがより好ましぐこれによれば水との接触面積がさらに増加し、微生物の付着性 も向上する。図 1 (a)や (b)には、中空形状の表面に複数の凹凸を有する水質浄ィ匕 体の一形態を示す。本発明における水質浄化体は、成型自由度が高いため、公知 の押出し成型法やプレス成型法により容易に製造することができる。

[0064] また、充填された水質浄ィ匕体には植物が植生して 、ることが好ま 、。植物を植生 させることで、護岸の緑ィ匕はもちろん、該植物と微生物の共生作用、ならびに該植物 が窒素成分およびリン成分を栄養分として吸い上げる作用により、水質浄化機能のさ らなる効率ィ匕を図ることが可能となる。ただし、植物に吸収された窒素やリン成分を極 力水中に戻さないためには、少なくとも年 1回、植物の根を残してこれを刈り取ること が望ましい。
[0065] 水質浄ィ匕体に植生させる植物としては、特に限定されないが、水生植物であること が好ましぐヨシ、ガマ、マコモカ なる群力 選択される 1種以上であることがより好ま しぐヨシであることが特に好ましい。このヨシは根力も酸素を放出する特性があるた め、水生生物に適した環境を提供することを 1つの課題とする本発明にとって最適な 植物である。また、植物を植生させる方法としては、使用する植物の種類に応じて最 適な方法を適宜決定すればよぐ特に限定されないが、例えば、充填された水質浄 化体の隙間に植物の苗を差込んだり、種子を蒔いたりすることで植生させることがで きる。図 4には、図 3の水制構造物 5内部の水質浄ィ匕体 4に植物 7を植生させた状態 の一実施形態を、図 5には、コンクリート部材を組み立てて構成された枠材 8に充填さ れた水質浄ィ匕体 4に植物 7を植生させた状態の一実施形態を示す。 [0066] 本発明の水制ェ用コンクリートブロックは、上記の水質浄化体がコンクリートブロック 表面上に固着されていること、および Zまたはコンクリートブロック表面部に配したポ 一ラスコンクリート内部に含まれていることを特徴とするものである。
[0067] 本発明の水制ェ用コンクリートブロックは、上記水質浄ィ匕体を公知のコンクリートブ ロック表面に固着'一体ィ匕することで得ることができ、この場合の水質浄化体の形状 は、コンクリートブロックの平面にあわせて、平板形状とすることが好ましい。さらに、 水質浄化体を平板形状とした場合、コンクリートブロックと接する反対面を凹凸形状 にすることがより好ましい。また、上記コンクリートブロックは、通常のコンクリートよりも 空隙率の大きいポーラスコンクリートブロックであることが好ましぐその空隙率は 20 %以上であることがより好ましい。ポーラスコンクリートを用いることで、水質浄化体が 固着していない箇所においても、微生物が付着しやすくなり、水質浄化機能が向上 する。図 2には、コンクリートブロック 1上面に平板形状の水質浄ィ匕体 2が固着'一体 化してなる本発明の水制ェ用コンクリートブロックの一実施形態を示す。図 2のような 水制ェ用コンクリートブロックを製造する方法としては、例えば、既成のコンクリートブ ロックの面上に平板形状の水質浄化体を接着剤や固定金具等により固着、一体化さ せたり、生コンクリートを所定形状の型枠に流し込み、その上に平板形状の水質浄ィ匕 体を設置し、コンクリートの固化と同時に該浄ィ匕体を固着、一体化させることもでき、 特に限定されない。
[0068] また、本発明の水制ェ用コンクリートブロックは、数ミリから十ミリ程度のサイズの上 記水質浄ィヒ体を内部に含むポーラスコンクリートを通常のコンクリートブロック表面部 に配して得ることもできる。さらに、当該ポーラスコンクリートとして、酸化マグネシウム を組成分として含む公知の低アルカリ性セメントからなるポーラスコンクリートを用いる ことで、微生物付着性や水質浄化機能をより向上させることが可能となる。
[0069] 本発明の水制工法は、上記した水制構造物および Zまたは水制ェ用コンクリートブ ロックを河川や湖沼の岸や底に設置することを特徴とするものであり、その設置形態 については、公知の護岸ェゃ沈床ェ等の水制ェに従って行えばよぐ特に限定され ない。なお、本発明の水制構造物を準備、設置するに際しては、予め水質浄化体が 充填された篕ゃ枠を設置現場に搬送し、これを所定箇所に順次設置してもよぐ設置 現場にて篕ゃ枠を組み立て、これを所定箇所に設置後、水質浄化体を充填してもよ ぐ特に限定されないが、作業効率を考慮すると後者が好ましい。植生させる植物に ついても、あらかじめ水質浄ィ匕体に植生されていてもよぐ設置現場にて、水質浄ィ匕 体充填後、その隙間に植物を差込み、植生させてもよい。図 6には、図 3の水制構造 物 5を河川 6の河岸に多段的に積み上げ護岸した状態の一実施形態を示す。
[0070] 本発明の水制ェによれば、水制構造物や水制ェ用コンクリートブロックに充填また は固着された特定組成のゼォライト含有水質浄ィ匕体が、水質汚濁の原因であるアン モ-ァ性窒素を効率よく吸着し、当該浄化体に担持された微生物の硝化'脱着によ る再生メカニズムにより、水質浄化機能が長期に維持され、メンテナンスフリーで河川 や湖沼の水質を著しく改善することができる。また、上記水質浄化体に植物を植生さ せれば、該植物と微生物の共生作用、ならびに該植物の窒素とリンの吸収作用によ り、さらに水質浄化機能を高め、なおかつ水辺空間の緑化、生物多様性空間の創出 を実現させることが可能となる。

[0123] 試験方法は、 0. 05M PBS (リン酸緩衝溶液)に微生物(汚泥)を懸濁させた後、 両サンプルおよび活性炭をそれぞれ懸濁液 100mlあたり 7. 5cm3投入し、 135rpm で約 5時間振とうした後、上澄み液の全有機炭素 (TOC)を測定し、振とう開始前の T OC力も差し引くことで、両サンプルおよび活性炭 7. 5cm3あたりに付着した TOC (微 生物)量を評価した。結果を図 10に示す。

度以外の測定は 0. 45 mフィルターでろ過した後に測定した。また、この条件では 実施例 21の系における流入基質の滞留時間は 6時間であり、比較例 5の系における 流入基質の滞留時間は 3時間であった。図 11には、サンプリング時の気温と実施例 21の系の流入部における水温のデータを示す。

[0130] 図 12および 13に窒素およびリン濃度の各系における経時変化を示した。測定開始 直後には、実施例 21の系においては NOxの生成は見られなかった力 比較例 5の 系では NOxの生成が認められた。これは元々礫に付着していた土壌などに硝化細 菌が存在し、さらにヨシの根圏が微生物の棲家となることで実施例 21の系よりも早く 系が安定したためと考えられる。また、実施例 21の系に関しては、実験開始後 29日 後に流入 NOx濃度を流出 NOx濃度が上回り、この時期から硝化細菌のはたらきが 活発になったことが認められ、ヨシの根圏が微生物の棲家として機能することが示唆 された。一方、各系のリンの経時変化を見てみると、評価期間を通して、どの系でも除 去が行われていることが分かる。一般に接触酸化法式でのリン除去率は低ぐ数%程 度の例が多いが、植生浄ィ匕と接触酸ィ匕を組み合わせた方式では、 70— 80%と高い 除去率を示すことも多ぐ本評価でもヨシカ Sリンを栄養塩として取り込んだものと考えら れる。

示す。実施例 21の系の T N、 NH Nおよび T Pの平均除去率は、比較例 5の

[0134] 評価期間中においても目視で実施例 21の系のヨシの成長が著しいことが確認出来 たが、表 8からは、実施例 21の系のヨシが比較例 5の系のヨシに比べて生育が良いこ とが明らかであり、実施例 21の系に充填された水質浄ィ匕体サンプルが優れた水質浄 ィ匕機能を有することが実証された。また、図 15からは、比較例 5の系に生育したヨシ が各地点にお 、て平均的に重量が増加して 、るのに比べ、実施例 21の系に生育し たヨシは、水路下流よりも水路上流〜中流域にぉ 、て大きく重量が増加して 、ること がわかる。これは上流力 基質を投入するため、アンモニア吸着量が上流〜中流域 において卓越し、微生物による硝化、植物への吸収が活発に行われた結果であると 考えられる。なお、上記水質浄化機能評価期間はわずか 2ヶ月間であり、さらに長期 の評価を継続すれば、時間の経過と共に上下流の差は解消され、系全体として水質 浄化機能が高まるものと考えられる。

ここでは、実施例 2および実施例 7の水質浄ィ匕体サンプルのアンモニア脱着促進効 果,すなわち生物再生に関する評価を行った。 [0136] 濃度 10mg-NH4+/Lの水溶液 1L中に、実施例 2および実施例 7のサンプルをそ れぞれ 200g投入して 48時間攪拌し、ついでこれを純水洗浄、 60°Cで 42時間乾燥 することで、それぞれのサンプルにアンモニアを飽和させた。つぎに、それぞれのァ ンモユア飽和サンプル 40gを希釈水と汚泥(MLSS 1000mg/L)を混合したもの 4 80mL中に浸漬し、 20°C、 120rpmで振とうし (振とう器:(株)東京理化器械製 MMS 300)、それぞれの NH— N、 NO N、 NO N濃度の経時変化を測定した。結

果を図 16に示す。なお、希釈水には埼玉県環境科学国際センター生態園内人工水 路の流入水を 0. 2 mフィルターでろ過したものを使用し、汚泥は埼玉県騎西町内 の上種足地区農業集落排水処理場の曝気槽のものを純水で遠心分離洗浄したもの を使用した。

Claims

請求の範囲
[I] ノインダ一とゼオライトとを必須原料として混合、焼成してなり、かつ組成中のゼオラ イト成分が 50重量%未満である水質浄ィ匕体を水制ェに用いる篕または枠に充填し てなることを特徴とする水制構造物。
[2] 前記バインダーが、可塑性粘土原料および Zまたは釉原料を含むことを特徴とする 請求項 1記載の水制構造物。
[3] 前記可塑性粘土原料が木節粘土、蛙目粘土、カオリン、頁岩粘土、陶石からなる 群力 選択される 1種または 2種以上であることを特徴とする請求項 2に記載の水制 構造物。
[4] 前記可塑性粘土原料の粒径が 5 μ m以下であることを特徴する請求項 2または 3記 載の水制構造物。
[5] 前記釉原料が、長石、マグネサイト、ドロマイト、石灰石からなる群から選択される 1 種または 2種以上であることを特徴とする請求項 2に記載の水制構造物。
[6] 前記ゼォライトが天然ゼォライト、合成 A型ゼオライト、合成 X型ゼオライト、合成 Y 型ゼオライト、石炭灰合成 A型ゼオライト、石炭灰合成 X型ゼオライト、石炭灰合成 Y 型ゼオライトからなる群力 選択される 1種または 2種以上であることを特徴とする請 求項 1〜5のいずれかに記載の水制構造物。
[7] 前記水質浄化体の焼成時の温度が 500〜700°Cであることを特徴とする請求項 1

[8] 前記水質浄ィ匕体の比表面積が 20m2Zg以上で、かつ曲げ強度が 2MPa以上であ ることを特徴とする請求項 1〜7のいずれかに記載の水制構造物。
[9] 前記水質浄化体の形状が中空形状であることを特徴とする請求項 1〜8のいずれ かに記載の水制構造物。
[10] 前記水質浄ィ匕体に植物が植生していることを特徴とする請求項 1〜9のいずれかに 記載の水制構造物。
[II] 前記植物がヨシ、ガマ、マコモカもなる群力も選択される 1種以上であることを特徴と する請求項 10に記載の水制構造物。

[13] 前記バインダーが、可塑性粘土原料および Zまたは釉原料を含むことを特徴とする 請求項 12記載の水制ェ用コンクリートブロック。
[14] 前記可塑性粘土原料が木節粘土、蛙目粘土、カオリン、頁岩粘土、陶石からなる 群力も選択される 1種または 2種以上であることを特徴とする請求項 13に記載の水制 工用 3ンクリー卜ブロック。
[15] 前記可塑性粘土原料の粒径が 5 μ m以下であることを特徴する請求項 13または 14 記載の水制ェ用コンクリートブロック。
[16] 前記釉原料が、長石、マグネサイト、ドロマイト、石灰石からなる群から選択される 1 種または 2種以上であることを特徴とする請求項 13に記載の水制ェ用コンクリートブ ロック。
[17] 前記ゼォライトが天然ゼォライト、合成 A型ゼオライト、合成 X型ゼオライト、合成 Y 型ゼオライト、石炭灰合成 A型ゼオライト、石炭灰合成 X型ゼオライト、石炭灰合成 Y 型ゼオライトからなる群力 選択される 1種または 2種以上であることを特徴とする請 求項 12〜 16の!、ずれかに記載の水制ェ用コンクリートブロック。
[18] 前記水質浄ィ匕体の焼成時の温度が 500〜700°Cであることを特徴とする請求項 12 〜 17の!、ずれかに記載の水制ェ用コンクリートブロック。
[19] 前記水質浄ィ匕体の比表面積が 20m2Zg以上で、かつ曲げ強度が 2MPa以上であ ることを特徴とする請求項 12〜18のいずれかに記載の水制ェ用コンクリートブロック
