Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de déshydratation de suspensions, notamment, de suspensions possédant une concentration relativement basse de matière organique et une concentration en matières sèches inférieure à 15 %. Une caractéristique de distinction de cette invention repose sur le fait que des agents favorisant la déshydratation sont mélangés simultanément avec la suspension, à mesure que l'épaississement se produit. Parmi des exemples de matières qui accroissent la concentration de matière organique, sont répertoriées la sciure de bois, les matières synthétiques qui, de préférence, contiennent du polyuréthanne pulvérulent, de la tourbe broyée ou encore de l'écorce broyée. La proportion pondérale des additifs s'élève à au moins 5 % en poids et, de préférence, à au moins 10 % en poids du poids total de la matière organique. La déshydratation et le mélange simultanés sont réalisés à l'aide de systèmes de déshydratation connus. Un exemple est celui de la vis d'extraction d'eau. Après la déshydratation partielle, la matière est transférée à une presse en vue d'une déshydratation complémentaire des contenus d'extraits secs supérieurs à 45 %.
