Abstract

The adjustable car leg support comprises: the back panel (1), the front panel (2), the electric motor (3), the articular connection (4), the joint holders (5), and connection to the car electricity system. At the back panel there is the articular connection with the front panel. At the rear end of the back panel there are joint holders by which the back panel is fitted to the car floor. The front panel height depends on the car seat shape and height, however, the optimum one is up to seven centimetres. The electric motor is fitted to the back panel underside, pushing by one its end the front panel into the horizontal position or pulling it into the vertical position. The electric-motor switch is recommended to be fitted in the centre of the car control panel, within the reach of both the driver and the back-seat passenger. The adjustable car leg support is fitted to the floor, in front of the front or the back seats. The passenger adjusts the height of the back panel, in order to achieve the maximum travel comfort.

Description

ADJUSTABLE LEG SUPPORT FOR USE IN CARS
INVENTION DESCRIPTION
1. FIELD OF APPLICATION
The invention relates to the adjustable electronic leg support, to be used in cars. In the International Patent Classification, it is classified as B: Transporting - B 60: Vehicles in general - B 60 R: Vehicles, vehicle fittings, or vehicle parts, not otherwise provided for - B 60 R 27/00: Other vehicle fittings; vehicles or vehicle parts, not provided in the preceding groups.
2. TECHNICAL PROBLEM
While travelling by car, the passengers are seated comfortably in their seats, however, there is the problem of the legs, especially with women wearing high healed shoes. This creates the problem of the safe footing on the car floor and the travel comfort.
The technical problem that is solved by this invention relates to structure of the leg support that is to be fitted to the car floor and is adjustable by height, making thus the passengers' travel more comfortable.
3. STATE OF THE ART
There are no known supports to be fitted into cars.
There is a like technical solution, but this is a leg support to be used while seated at a desk. It is usually made of wood and is not adjustable. 4. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The essence of the invention is the adjustable car leg support consisting of the back panel for the legs and the front panel for adjusting the height of the back panel. The back panel is by one side connected with a joint to the car floor, and by the other it is connected with a joint to the front panel. The front panel is turned by an electric motor fitted below the back and the front panels. By turning the front panel, the back panel is risen or lowered, the way the passenger wants it.
5. ILLUSTRATION DESCRIPTIONS
The figures included herein illustrate the invention embodiment and help explaining the principals of its use.
Figure 1. shows the adjustable car leg support in its risen position - side view. Figure 2. shows the leg support shown in the Figure 1. lowered - side view. Figure 3. shows the leg support shown in the Figure 2. lowered - top view.
6. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION EMBODIMENT
As seen in the Figure 1., the adjustable car leg support comprises: back panel 1, front panel 2, electric motor 3, joint 4, joint holders 5, electric cable 6, and switch 7.
The back panel is rectangular. At one side of the panel there is the articular connection 4, by which the back panel 1 is connected to the front panel 2. At the rare side of the back panel, in the corners, closer to the car seat, there are the articular connections 5, by which the back panel is connected to the car floor. In the middle of the back panel underside, there is the articular connection 5 connecting it to the electric motor 3. The back panel upper side is horizontally grooved to prevent slipping. The front panel is trapeziform, Figure 3. The front panel 2 is connected to the back panel 1 by the articular connection 4. The front panel height depends on the car seat shape and height, but the best height is 5 to 7 cm. In the middle of the front panel underside there is the joint holder 5 with the electric motor 3.
The electric motor 3 is placed below the back panel 1 underside, by one its end connected by the joint holder 5 to the back panel underside, and by the other end by the joint holder 5 to the front panel underside. The electric motor 3 pushes the front panel 2 into horizontal position, Figure 2., or pulls it into vertical position, Figure 1. The electric motor is connected by the cable 6 to the switch 7, situated at the car control panel, at the most suitable place, depending on the car model. It is recommended to be located in the middle of the control panel, within the reach of both the driver and the back-seat passenger.
The adjustable car leg support is fitted to the car floor, in front of the front or the back seats. When switched on by the switch 7, the electric motor 3 pushes the front panel 2 into its vertical position, thus rising the back panel, which makes the leg support, Figure 1. The passenger decides at which height the back panel will be placed, in order to have the maximum comfort in travel.
All joint holders 5 are of the same height, to prevent the electric motor to touch the car floor when the back panel is lowered, Figure 2.
7. INVENTION APPLICATION
The invention makes a practical, lasting and useful device that can be produced in an. economical manner and widely used as an additional car industry accessory. The professionals will find obvious the possibility of certain modifications and changes of the invention, while still retaining its essence and scope.
