Domaine techniqueTechnical area
The present invention relates to a decontaminating complex for water treatment. More particularly, the invention relates to a plant biodecontaminant complex, having both bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties, for the treatment of biodecontamination of water in order to sanitize it from various pathogenic microorganisms. Etat de la techniqueState of the art
Objets de l'inventionSolutions are known, in particular oxidizing, for decontaminating water, but these do not have both bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties. The oxidizing elements make the metal surfaces not smooth and therefore the biofilms develop more quickly thereafter. A problem to be solved for a person skilled in the art is to have a water decontamination agent which is effective without attacking metals, in particular the metal surfaces of the pipes and of the cooling tanks of the cooling towers. An object of the present invention is to provide a biodecontaminant complex for the treatment of water having at the same time bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties. Exposé de l'inventionStatement of the invention
Description détaillée des modes de réalisation préférésThese objects, as well as others, are satisfied by the present invention which provides a biodecontaminant complex for the treatment of water having both bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties, characterized in that it comprises as active components of eugenol, eugenol acetate and thujone, said active components each being contained in a plant element. Detailed description of preferred embodiments
More preferably, the biodecontaminant complex of the invention comprises at most about 20% by weight of eugenol, at most about 5% by weight of eugenol acetate and at most about 5% of thujone. The eugenol and eugenol acetate of the biodecontaminant complex of the invention are usually contained in the plant element clove. The thujone of the biodecontaminant complex of the invention is for example contained in the vegetable element sage. The biodecontaminating complex of the present invention also advantageously comprises at least one additional active component originating, for example via a cold extraction, from a plant element chosen from hyssop (yssopus officinalis Labiee, Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamonum zeylanicum) , the savory
{Satureja montana carvacrolifera), oregano and marjoram. The biodecontaminant complex of the invention may also contain trace elements. To decontaminate the water, the biodecontaminant complex of the invention is left to macerate for a time which is a function of the concentration of said complex in the water. A person skilled in the art will also determine, by means of routine tests, the minimum proportions of each of the constituents of the decontaminating complex to be brought into play in water to have sufficient efficiency and those not to be exceeded to avoid any problem of toxicity. It will be understood that before the decontaminating complex of the invention is macerated with the water to be decontaminated, this water must first pass through an upstream filter or pre-filter in order to remove the particulate impurities therefrom. After maceration, for an appropriate time, of the complex of the invention in the water to be decontaminated, this must then be filtered through a downstream filter in order, on the one hand to eliminate its color and taste, on the other hand retain the decontaminating complex to prevent it from reaching the decontaminated drinking water tank. The upstream and downstream filters mentioned are known in the art and need not be described further. The decontaminating complex of the invention can be prepared for example by grinding, intimate mechanical mixing and sieving the previously dried starting plant elements, usually at a temperature of around 30 ° C. The biodecontaminant complex of the present invention finds many applications. By way of illustration, the biodecontaminating complex of the present invention can be used in a shower installation. For example, about 10 g of complex, with a particle size of about 2 to 3 mm, are placed in a sachet, for example in gauze or cotton, downstream of the shower tap, for example a mixer tap, and upstream of the shower head shower, that is to say between the mixer and the shower head. The CFU / I pass for example from 300000 to less than 50. On average, approximately 150 liters of water can be treated under these conditions. Such use of the biodecontaminant complex of the invention is particularly advantageous since the water which remains stagnant in the pommel is treating, thus avoiding a harmful bacterial development in the pommel. The biodecontaminant complex of the invention is particularly advantageous in that it does not attack metals. It has a considerable advantage over oxidizing agents, such as those based on chlorine, which make the surface of metal pipes non-smooth, thus leading to faster development of biofilms. Another interesting use of the biodecontaminant complex of the invention is in cooling towers. In such towers, the element to be cooled is sprayed with water by nozzles. Water vapor forms above the nozzles. The water used to cool the element is collected in a metal container. In cooling towers, heat combined with humidity promotes microbial growth, for example of legionella. An oxidizing treatment, for example with chlorinated agents, generates asperities on the metal surfaces on which micro-organisms subsequently develop. A chlorinated treatment can bring immediate results but the degradation is all the more strong thereafter. Microorganisms can then escape into the air atmosphere, causing air contamination. The decontaminating complex of the invention is placed in a filter basket which is immersed in the cooling tank. The water in the cooling tank is thus decontaminated without the metal surfaces being affected and without causing contamination of the ambient atmosphere. If, contrary to the present invention, the cooling tank water is treated with synthetic chemicals, not only does pollution and soil pollution occur at the time of the water change, but also chemical pollution air from the vapors that come out. The use of the decontaminating complex of the invention does not cause pollution of the soil and groundwater or chemical pollution of the air. The decontaminating complex of the invention allows the biodecontamination of water by sanitizing it from various pathogenic microorganisms. It acts as a bactericide, virucide and fungicide. It is also non-toxic to humans at normal doses of use. In addition, it is obtained easily and economically from readily available plants. Those skilled in the art will understand that, although the invention has been described and illustrated for particular embodiments, numerous variants can be envisaged while remaining within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
