Description

Vorrichtung zum Auftragen einer Lotion, Salbe od. dgl. auf den Körper Device for applying a lotion, ointment or the like on the body
Das Element 4 wird dabei einstückig mit dem BandThe present invention relates to a device for applying a lotion, ointment or the like to the body, in particular the back, with a band, the ends of which can be gripped with both hands in order to be able to slide it over the body or back, which Band has at least one element for the temporary absorption and delivery of the lotion, ointment or the like. A device of this type is known from AT B 401473. The band of this device is flexible, but inelastic and carries as the application element an elastic foam cushion which can be soaked or filled with the lotion to be applied and which is released when pressed together. Such a device can only be cleaned laboriously or incompletely, because residues always remain in the sponge-like storage cushion. In addition, the device is expensive to manufacture. US Pat. No. 5,035,523 shows a similar device in which the foam application pad is detachably attached to the belt with the aid of a Velcro fastener in order to be able to remove it for cleaning purposes. US 2002/005873 A shows a further device in which the entire band is made of absorbent, elastic material, such as open-cell plastic foam, absorbent diaper material, etc., the device having handles with an automatic roll-up device for the band. These known devices also have the disadvantages mentioned above. The invention aims to provide a device for applying a lotion, ointment or the like to the body, which can be easily and completely cleaned after use, so that hygienic reuse is possible. In addition, the device should be of simpler construction and more economical to manufacture than the known constructions. These goals are achieved with a device of The type mentioned in the introduction is achieved according to the invention in that the band is made at least in sections from elastic plastic material and said element is formed by a group of transverse grooves in a surface of the elastic plastic material. In this way, a new type of application element is created, the application function of which is based on the movement of the transverse grooves when the tape is pulled apart. After use, the cross grooves can be easily and completely cleaned by wiping or rinsing, so that hygienic reuse is guaranteed. In addition, the application element can be produced using the same technological step with which the strip can also be produced, for example by casting, injection molding, pressing, embossing, shaping, etc., which considerably simplifies production. A preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the band together with the said element is made in one piece from elastic plastic material. As a result, the entire device can be manufactured in a single production step, for example by injection molding. According to a further preferred feature of the invention, it is provided that the transverse grooves are formed by an accordion-like formation of a section of the band. With such an accordion-like design, the lotion, ointment or the like can be metered out of the transverse grooves for the purpose of application to the body by proportionally pulling the tape apart. Another preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the width of the band decreases towards its ends. This makes it easier to grasp the ends of the band without discarding its middle section and affecting its abutment on the body. For the same reason, it is also advantageous if the ends of the band are preferably formed into thickened balls and / or the ends of the band are provided with corrugations. For safety reasons, it is particularly advantageous if the edges of the band are rounded. This safely prevents skin injuries when the tape is slid over the body. The device of the invention can be manufactured per se from any elastic, skin-friendly and resistant materials. It is particularly favorable if the elastic plastic material is rubber or rubber, preferably latex, because these materials are particularly kind to the skin. The invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. In the drawings: FIG. 1 shows the device of the invention in a plan view, FIG. 2 in a side view and FIG. 3 shows detail III from FIG. 2 on an enlarged scale. 1 and 2 show a device 1 for applying a lotion, ointment or the like to the body of a user, in particular his back (not shown). The device 1 comprises a band 2, the ends 3 of which can be gripped with both hands in order to be able to slide it over the body or back in a manner known per se. In its central section, the band 2 has an element 4 for temporarily receiving and dispensing the lotion, ointment or the like. Alternatively, several elements 4 could also be provided in any section of the band 2 or one element 4 extends over the entire length of the band 2. The element 4 is shown in detail in FIG. 3 and comprises a group of transverse grooves 5 in the surface of the band 2. Both surfaces of the band 2 are preferably provided with transverse grooves 5, as shown in FIG. 3, although this is not mandatory; in the simplest case, transverse grooves 5 in a band surface are sufficient. The transverse grooves 5 of the two belt surfaces can be arranged at the same height or preferably offset, as shown in FIG. 3, so that in the central section of the belt 2 or in the area of the element 4 there is an accordion-like shape of the band 2. The width of the band 2 decreases towards its ends 3, the ends 3 being formed into thickened balls 6. The ends 3, with or without balls 6, can be provided with a superficial corrugation (not shown), which facilitates the non-slip gripping of the ends 3. Alternatively, the ends 3 could be designed or provided with handles, tabs, eyelets, etc. for easier gripping. All edges, edges and corners of the device 1, in particular also the side edges 7, are preferably rounded. The entire device 1 is made in one piece from elastic plastic material, in particular skin-friendly and resistant material, such as rubber or rubber, particularly preferably latex or latex-like rubber compounds. In this way, the device 1 can be produced in one step by casting, injection molding, embossing, pressing or forming, etc. The element 4 is in one piece with the tape
2 mitgeformt. Alternatively, only the element 4 could also be made of elastic plastic material and the sections of the band 2 adjoining it could be made of flexible but inelastic material. The device operates as follows. Before use, the lotion, ointment or the like to be applied is introduced into the grooves 5 of the element 4, as indicated at 8 in FIG. 3. The device 1 is now with both hands at the ends
3 gripped and pulled over the back, for example, and moved back and forth, while at the same time the band 2 is slightly stretched. By stretching the band 2 and the element 4, the depth of the grooves 5 is reduced, so that the lotion, ointment or the like escapes from the surface of the element 4 and is applied to the body. The application can be metered by varying the stretch of the band 2 or of the element 4. After use, the entire device 1, in particular the element 4, can, for example, be rinsed off under a water jet or simply wiped off with a cloth. The device of the invention is suitable for applying any type of lotion, ointment or the like with sufficient toughness and / or sufficient adhesion, which permits temporary anchoring between the grooves 5. Exemplary areas of application are the application of sun milk, nourishing creams, healing ointments or the like.
