Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a system identified as "medicalizable automotive chairlift” for use in ambulances (hereafter referred to as PAM for short), which provides essential novelty features and important advantages over known means. and used for similar purposes in the current state of the art.
  • the invention proposes the development of a self-propelled mobile device and an associated set of anchors, so that it is fixed to the ground of the ambulance while it is in motion.
  • the purpose of the PAM is twofold: on the one hand, to serve as support and fixation for both the patient-stretcher and the various medical and instrumental equipment; on the other, allow the set consisting of the patient, stretcher and equipment can be mobilized by an external operator with safety, comfort and hardly any physical effort.
  • the mobility of the P £ M is based on the fact that it is provided with four wheels and a propellant element constituted by an electric motor coupled to a differential-differential mechanism and fed from built-in batteries; said motor can be driven at will, both in the direction of travel (forward or backward) and speed (greater or lesser) by means of conventional electrical switching elements.
  • the associated anchor set allows the PAM not to move from its parking position while the ambulance is in motion.

  • the ambulances that perform this type of service are equipped with a series of devices and equipment, normally located on the sides and roof of the vehicle - which provide the patient with various functions, such as monitoring of vital signs, defibrillation, assisted breathing with or without oxygen supply, aspiration, intravenous or intraarterial infusion of medications, etc.
  • the current state of the technique of transporting patients in ambulances generally consists in fixing a frame to the floor of the vehicle that serves as a base for the support and anchorage of the patient's stretcher and, at the same time, allows to locate this one at a height and inclination suitable for the treatment.

  • the aforementioned arrangement of elements implies the need to lay various cables and channels between the equipment and the patient, which makes it difficult for the movement of medical personnel around the latter in an already reduced cabin in itself and that usually travels at considerable speed.

  • the design of the elements that support the stretcher provides that the latter can pivot on any of its ends - so that the inclination of the patient with respect to the horizontal plane is appropriate in those pathologies that require it - as well as being able to vary its height with respect to the ground, thus facilitating the work of health personnel and the transfer of the patient from the PAM to a hospital bed or vice versa.
