  • a perforated head is then inserted into the bunghole and is connected to a tube feeding the water or detergent to the head. While the barrique is rotated, water is pumped to the head, so that a number of jets will issue from the perforations to hit the interior surfaces of the barrel.

Moreover, by shutting the cock and sustaining the supply of scouring liquid, the draining chamber V fills up progressively with exhaust liquid, and it is then possible to visually check the degree of cleanliness of the exhausted liquid and determine whether an additional scouring step should be carried out.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de rinçage de fûts comportant des moyens de pulvérisation de fluide (PT) à commande directionnelle insérables par la bonde d'un fût et comprenant: un manchon rigide (16), un arbre creux (38) tournant à l'intérieur de ce manchon (16) et possédant une extrémité active (38b) saillante par rapport à l'extrémité libre dudit manchon (16), un conduit (58, 64) se déplaçant par coulissement à l'intérieur de l'arbre creux (38) et présentant une partie terminale souple (58) pourvue d'une buse de pulvérisation de fluide (60) et faisant saillie par rapport au manchon (16) à l'intérieur du fût, l'extrémité opposée du conduit se raccordant à une source d'amenée de fluide; un bras (56) ayant une extrémité fixée à ladite buse (66) et une extrémité opposée articulée sur l'extrémité active (38b) de l'arbre creux (38) autour d'un axe (P) situé transversalement par rapport à l'axe de l'arbre creux (38); et des moyens de contrainte (80, 82) guidant la partie terminale souple (58) du conduit afin de permettre sa flexion en fonction du déplacement du conduit à l'intérieur de l'arbre creux (38).
