Since the body and cover are made of synthetic resins or special metal in order to prevent deformation of the earpiece, the user suffers pain in the ear when wearing the earpiece in the external auditory meatus for a long period of time.   • an object of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic earpiece comprising an ultra-small-sized speaker which is structured to cause no difficulty in production and functioning and is capable of smoothly radiating sound.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic earpiece which has enhanced sound clarity.
  • a further object of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic earpiece which is safe to the human body and comfortable to the user even when worn for a long period of time.
  • the present invention provides an ergonomic earpiece, comprising: an undersized speaker; a protector having a plurality of slots at its circumference, in the front end of which the speaker is fixedly installed; a cover, made of soft non-toxic silicone, inside which the protector is provided; and a body detachably combined with the cover, whereby the cover is inserted into the external auditory meatus to allow the speaker to be in close contact with the external auditory meatus .
  • the speaker comprises a ring type housing divided into a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion which is larger in diameter and width than the small diameter portion, said small diameter portion directly embracing a vibration system on the inlet side of the ring type housing, said large diameter portion being formed at the outer circumference of the small diameter portion and having, at the inner wall of the large diameter portion, a protrusion in which a plurality of grooves are radially formed so as to reduce air resistance at the outlet of the speaker upon radiating speaker sound.

  • the voice coil 5b which is located in the magnetic field moves outlet and forth when running voice signal current through the voice coil 5b, so that the diaphragm 5a is vibrated to create sounds which are transferred to the exterior through the grill 6.
  • the grooves 26 formed in the protrusion 2a circulate air therethrough so as to reduce air resistance at the rear of the speaker as well as allow the diaphragm 5a to vibrate smoothly, resulting in desired frequency characteristics. Accordingly, the user can hear speaker sounds without inconvenience.
  • the grooves 2b can have a cross section as large as or larger than that of the holes formed in the front of the conventional housing. Therefore, even when being manufactured in a very small size, the housing of the present invention can readily transfer speaker sounds to the user.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un écouteur ergonomique (50) comportant un haut-parleur conçu pour loger un système vibrant (5) dont la taille extrêmement réduite n'affecte pas la qualité du son. Le corps (30) et la gaine (26) entourant le système vibrant (5) sont faits de silicone mou non toxique. La grande souplesse et l'élasticité du silicone rendent l'écouteur facilement adaptable à toute forme de conduits auditifs, et le coussin formé entre le haut-parleur (20) et la gaine et le corps permettent à l'utilisateur de porter l'écouteur pendant de longues périodes sans ressentir de douleur.
