The plastic material is projected onto the beverage can (10) by means of spray nozzles (1) arranged in the chamber (9) of a head (13) that can be coupled to the upper part thereof. Before spraying, cleaning is carried out by introducing compressed air through blowing ducts (3) and suctioning the residue through recovery conduits (4). Curing can be done at ambient temperature or by heating with a heating device (5). A cleaning cylinder (7) moves inside the chamber (9) thereby dragging the material that has adhered to the walls. Sterilization of the pores that may remain in the plastic material layer (6) can additionally be carried out by means of ultraviolet radiation.

Description

-Pelable de un solo tirón, sin dejar residuos adheridos en la zona de apertura de la lata.DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a device that incorporated into the beverage cans ensures a maximum degree of hygiene in its consumption, by avoiding the presence of dirt until the opening of the can. The device is incorporated through an embodiment method that makes use of an apparatus specially adapted to this function. The proposed objective is achieved by incorporating a layer of plastic material perfectly bonded and adapted to the surface of the can and capable of being removed with a single pull. Said layer is deposited by a spraying and curing process, either at room temperature, or by the express application of heat. In order to guarantee a perfect adhesion of the layer to the different elements (tabs, rings) present in the opening area of the can, it is necessary to perform a previous cleaning and drying operation of the can, vacuuming and eliminating any trace of dust or humidity. After curing, it may be convenient to subject the product to the action of ultraviolet radiation to achieve additional sterilization of the pores that may have remained during the manufacturing process. The whole process is carried out in a simple device, which can be incorporated into the assembly line itself and which comprises a cylindrical inner surface head provided with spray nozzles of the plastic material, air blow ducts, non-material recovery ducts adhered, heating element and sealing means. A cleaning cylinder travels along the inner cylindrical surface of the head, which in turn is movable to rest on the cans temporarily configuring a sealed chamber in which the process of forming the protective device on the can takes place. The end result is a layer of protective plastic material deposited and solidified on the top of the beverage cans, which adapts perfectly to the rings, tabs and other opening devices, without leaving cavities that could be the focus of the development of harmful germs . That layer is Peelable, that is, it can be removed with a single pull, leaving no residue that could constitute contaminating elements. The head of the encapsulation apparatus must be adapted to the diameter and shape of the can, in order to ensure a perfect seal and coating of the same to a convenient point that will depend on the design. Thus, it has been found that in the case of cans having a conical surface, the layer of plastic material must not exceed its lower edge in order to prevent untimely detachment of the edge. The protection device of the invention has numerous advantages over other preceding embodiments among which we can mention: -A perfect adhesion, due to the process followed in its realization. -A great elasticity, due to the process and materials used, which allows to ensure adhesion despite temperature variations. -Pelable with a single pull, without leaving residues adhered to the opening area of the can.
OF THE INVENTION Canned drinks constitute a product whose use has been extended considerably in recent years given the strength of the container and the fact that it does not require specific utensils for opening. However, this same success that can be found anywhere, causes a long transport and careless storage which ultimately determines a product that has a considerable degree of dirt. Some attempts have been made to protect the cans during storage and transport, ranging from encapsulation in groups to the adoption of individual caps coupled by means of a shape adjustment. These systems have not resulted since, although they protect the surface of the can of coarse deposits of dirt, they cannot prevent the development of bacteria in the cavity between the protective element and the can. In fact, these cavities, closed and subjected to the action of heat and light constitute an excellent space for the proliferation of all types of microorganisms that may be more harmful to health than the visible dirt itself. Attempts are also known to remove the said cavities by using plastic sheets coated with an adhesive. One such solution, which can be relatively effective on smooth surfaces, has clearly proved insufficient to protect the opening areas of the beverage cans, as these flanges, semi-perforated, tongues, rings, rivets and all kinds of irregularities are present that make very difficult the correct adaptation of a self-adhesive sheet over this area of the can. It is an objective of the present invention to have a protection device for beverage cans that, having perfect adhesion and adaptation to them, allows easy and one-time removal.

The method of realization of the protection device object of the invention comprises the steps of: - Cleaning; consisting of the injection of compressed air through blow ducts (3), dried by the heating element (5) and aspirated from the residue through the recovery ducts (4). -Projection of the plastic material through a plurality of spray nozzles (1). - Recovery of the non-adhered plastic material through the recovery ducts (4), for later use. - Curing of the layer of plastic material (6) by heat input by the heating element (5) - Sterilization of the pores that may have remained between the layer of plastic material (6) and the surface of the beverage can (10 ) by ultraviolet radiation. As for the industrial realization of the object of the invention, it will be necessary to use various auxiliary means for storing products, feed hoppers, control devices etc, which have not been described since, being conventional, they will be well known by the expert in the matter. The material preferably used has been polyethylene, supplied at temperatures between 40 ° C and 90 ° C and with curing temperatures up to 165 ° C, which leads to hardening times of less than 3 seconds. Under these conditions the layer of plastic material (6) deposited is approximately 0.4 mm thick, which allows to obtain the proposed objectives of adhesion, elasticity and ease of peeling. Depending on the plastic material used, the number and arrangement of the spray nozzles (1) may vary. Curing can also be carried out at room temperature, in a time. The ideal place for the installation of the protective projection system object of the invention within the canning chain is between the placement of the plastic rings that make up the groups of cans of drink (10) and their final packaging in plastic film.
