  • the resultant apparatus is simple to use and has better handling characteristics with basic ON/OFF control of the brake/drive units and hoist. It will be appreciated the proportional control and other control algorithms may be applied to the apparatus of the invention, however, in is basic form, the performance of the lifting and turning apparatus is equal to, if not superior to, prior art devices of significantly greater complexity.

  • the centre of gravity is maintained in line with the point of connection with the overhead support beam B via the hoist 2 and wheel unit 3, as will be appreciated from Figure 3.
  • the reel has been turned through 90° so that it may be lowered in this position to a surface such as the floor or mounted on a horizontally disposed reel spindle (not shown).

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de levage et de retournement (1) à fixer sur un support en hauteur (B), comprenant un système d'enclenchement de charge (12,14) couplé opérationnel à une chaîne (10) et soutenu par elle, avec entraînement par une paire d'unités de frein/d'entraînement électriques (5,6). On décrit également un procédé de manipulation de charge par enclenchement de charge (R) sur le dispositif (1), du type en suspension depuis un support en hauteur (B), avec soutien de ladite charge via une chaîne entraînée par des unités de frein/d'entraînement et un système de levage (2) qui comprend aussi un entraînement de chaîne pour le retournement. Simultanément ou séparément, les unités et le système de levage considérés permettent de lever, retourner, abaisser ou manipuler la charge. Le dispositif comprend un contrôleur intuitif simplifié qui permet de mettre en oeuvre une technique de contrôle pour la manipulation de la charge.
