Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil et une méthode pour améliorer la commande d'accès par un dispositif de terminal dans un environnement WLAN présentant un point d'accès pour déterminer si le dispositif fait appel à un protocole IEEE 802.1x, par le point d'accès communiquant avec le dispositif, un paquet, si le dispositif fait appel à un protocole IEEE 802.1x, le dispositif répond de manière appropriée, sinon, le point d'accès détermine que le protocole de dispositif terminal ne fait pas appel à un protocole IEEE 802.1x, et sélectionne un mécanisme d'authentification compatible avec le dispositif de terminal. Si le dispositif n'est pas un client IEEE 802.1x, un filtrage de paquet IP est configuré pour réacheminer une demande HTTP utilisateur sur un serveur local, et lorsque les demandes HTTP sont ainsi réacheminées, le serveur HTTP présente, au dispositif de terminal, des informations spécifiquement associées à l'authentification fondée sur le navigateur.
