  • Grooves are produced onto the timber pole by conventional methods known to the art. Typically cylindrical poles and/ or the grooves are produced on a turning machine. Alternatively the grooves can be produced manually.

  • Precise application techniques of imparting paint such as screen-painting is well known in the industry. Precise application techniques are required when coloured coats need to be applied onto the non-grooved portions (non-recessed portions) of the pole (10). Where else if clear coats, such as clear lacquer are used lo coat the poles, then simple less sophisticated, less costly techniques can be adopted to apply the lacquer.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à appliquer un revêtement dans une partie évidée d'une structure dont la surface comprend des parties évidées et des parties non évidées. Ce procédé consiste à appliquer un revêtement sensiblement sur les parties évidées par pulvérisation ou au pinceau, à laisser sécher ou durcir le revêtement, puis à enlever la couleur en excès déposée sur la partie non évidée de la structure. Ledit procédé comprend éventuellement une opération supplémentaire consistant à appliquer du vernis sensiblement sur les parties non évidées de la structure.
