Any salt or complex of the aforementioned amino acids may also be used, as well as blends of any of the aforementioned molecules. Polyamino acids derived from yeast extracts may also be used as well as polyamino acid extracts from plants.

  • vitamins such as vitamin A, C, D, E, and K, as well as beta-carotene, thiamin, riboflavin, pyridoxine, choline, betain, nicotinic acid, folic acid, biotin and pantothenate, may be incorporated into the beadlets.
  • Trace minerals that may also be added are iron, magnesium, cobalt, selenium, calcium, phosphorous, sulfur, copper, chromium, iodine and zinc.
  • the beadlets 10 can be fabricated in the form of a spherical or nearly spherical particle or a polygonal or nearly polygonal particle having a size in the range of 0.5 to 20 millimeters in diameter.

  • the ratio of binder to nutrient should be from about 30 to about 80 percent by weight binder to about 70 to about 20 percent by weight nutrient, preferably in the order of about 60 percent by weight binder and in the order of about 40 percent by weight nutrient.
  • the binder should include polyethylene, preferably in an amount of from about 30 to about 80 percent by weight of the total mixture.
  • the beadlets 10 have a density in the range of from about 0.9 to about 1.3 when finished. The final density is a function of the ratio of the amount of binder 20 to nutrient 30.
  • compositions obtained in Examples 1 to 3 were evaluated by the following method. That is, 10 grams equivalent of active nutrient of each composition was placed in a 125 milliliter flask with 90 milliliters of distilled water. The mixture was shaken at 39° C. for 16 hours. A control of 10 grams in 90 mis of water of unprotected amino acid lysine hydrochloride was used as a control. The ratio of the concentration as measured by a hand refractometer of the amino acid control vs. the polygonal beadlet release of amino acid was used for protection calculations. Table 1 summarized the results.

Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un procédé de production de compositions nutritives d'évitement de la panse qui consiste à mélanger le nutriment, par exemple un acide aminé ou une acide polyaminé, avec un acide gras, un sel d'acide gras, de la graisse, du polyéthylène, ou des combinaisons de ceux-ci, et la fusion de la composition par la chaleur et le mélange pour produire un mélange homogène de matière fondue à faible viscosité. La matière fondue est façonnée en formes géométriques ou quasi géométriques par granulation ou pastillage permettant l'obtention d'une boulette présentant une surface externe sensiblement uniforme de graisse hydrophobe, d'acide gras, de sel d'acide gras, de polyéthylène ou une combinaison de ceux-ci, et présente un diamètre de 0,5 à 30 millimètres, avantageusement de 1 à 7 millimètres. Le procédé permet la production de nouveaux granules de nutriments d'évitement de la panse en un procédé à étape unique efficace et économique.
