さらに詳しくは、 本発明は、 炭化水素類を接触分解させて高い収率でェ チレン、 プロピレンなどの軽質ォレフイン類を製造し得る触媒、 及び該触 媒を用いて、 炭化水素類を接触分解させてエチレンやプロピレンなどの軽 質ォレフイン類を高い収率で製造する方法に関するものである。 背景技術
エチレンやプロピレンなどの軽質ォレフィン類は、 各種化学製品の基礎 原料として、 極めて重要な化合物である。
従来、 これらの軽質ォレフイン類の製造方法としては、 ェタン、 プロパ ン、 ブタンなどのガス状炭化水素類、 あるいはナフサなどの液状炭化水素 類を原料とし、 外熱式の管状炉内で水蒸気雰囲気下に加熱分解する方法が 広く実施されている。
しかしながら、 このような方法では、 軽質ォレフイン類.の収率を高める ために、 8 0 0 °C以上の高温を必要とする上、 装置の材料として高価なも のを使用しなければならないなど、 経済的に不利な点を有している。 したがって、 触媒を用いた炭化水素類の接触分解法が、 これまで種々検 討されてきた。

しかしながら、 Z SM— 5などのペンタシル型ゼオライ トは、 細孔径が 0. 5〜0. 6 nm程度と比較的小さいために、 分子量が大きい原料や分 岐の多い原料は細孔内に入りにく く、 したがって、 重質の原料は分解しに くいという欠点を有している。
これに対して、 Y型ゼオライ ト (FAU型ゼオライ ト) に代表される比 較的細孔径の大きなゼォライ ト (細孔径約 0. 7 nm以上) では、 上記の ような分子量の大きい原料や、 分岐の多い原料も分解することができるた めに、 ガソリン製造を主な目的とした流動床接触分解反応器の触媒として 広く使用されてきた。
さらに、 このような Y型を主体とした触媒 (USY, RE-Y, RE— USY) を用いた接触分解の際に、 Z SM— 5などのペンタシル型ゼオラ ィ トを共存させて分解を行うことにより、 ガソリン留分と同時にォレフィ ン類 (主に、 プロピレン、 プテン) の生成量が増大することが知られてい る (例えば、 「ゼオライ トの科学と工学」 、 講談社サイェンティフイク社

ゼォライ ト触媒は、 高温では脱アルミニウムによる永久劣化が促進され るために、 このような高温は触媒劣化を引き起こすことから、 より低温で 高活性を示す触媒が求められている。
本発明は、 このような状況下で、 炭化水素類を比較的低い温度で接触分 解し、 高い収率で軽質ォレフイン類を製造し得る触媒、 及びその触媒を用 いて、 炭化水素類を接触分解し、 軽質ォレフイン類を製造する方法を提供 することを目的とするものである。
発明の開示

( 1 ) ゼォライ ト 5〜9 0質量%とゼォライ ト以外の粘土鉱物及び/又は 無機酸化物 1 0〜9 5質量%とからなる触媒であって、 前記ゼォライ ト成 分のうちの 3 0〜 9 5質量%が希土類元素を酸化物として担持したペンタ シル型ゼォライ トで、 5〜7 0質量0 /。が Y型ゼォライ ト (F A U型) であ り、 かつ前記ペンタシル型ゼォライ トにおける希土類元素担持量が該ペン タシル型ゼォライ ト中のアルミニウムに対し原子比で 0 . 4〜 2 0の範囲 にあることを特徴とする炭化水素類の接触分解触媒、
( 2 ) 炭素数 2以上の炭化水素類を前記 (1 ) に記載の触媒の存在下に接 触分解させることを特徴とする軽質ォレフイン類の製造方法、 及び
( 3 ) 接触分解の反応温度が 3 5 0〜 7 8 0 °Cである前記 (2 ) の軽質ォ レフィン類の製造方法、
を提供するものである。
本発明の炭化水素類の接触分解触媒は、 (A ) ゼォライ トと (B ) ゼォ ライ ト以外の粘土鉱物及び/又は無機酸化物とからなる触媒である。 この触媒が適用される炭化水素類としては、 炭素数 2以上、 好ましくは 炭素数 2〜 3 0、 より好ましくは炭素数 2〜 2 0のパラフィン又は該パラ
フィンを主成分 (約 1 0質量%以上) とする炭化永素類を挙げることがで ぎる。
このような炭化水素類としては、 例えば、 ェタン、 プロパン、 ブタン、 ペンタン、 へキサンなどのパラフィン類、 あるいはナフサ、 軽油などの軽 質炭化水素留分などが用いられる。
また、 本発明の触媒は、 比較的高沸点で分子量の高い炭化水素類に対し ても高い活性を示す特徴を有しており、 該触媒が適用される原料の炭化水 素類としては、 飽和炭化水素化合物に限定されるものではなく、 不飽和結 合を有する炭化水素化合物を含有するものも使用することができる。 本発明の触媒における (A ) 成分のゼォライ トは、 ( a ) 希土類元素が 酸化物として担持されたペンタシル型ゼオライ トと、 (b ) Y型ゼォライ トとから構成されている。
前記 (a ) 成分のペンタシル型ゼオライ トにおける希土類元素としては 特に制限はなく、 どのようなものでも使用可能であるが、 例えば、 ランタ ン、 セリ ウム、 プラセオジム、 ネオジム、 サマリ ウム、 ガドリニウム、 ジ スプロシゥムなどを好ましく挙げることができる。
これらの希土類元素は、 酸化物として一種を単独で担持させてもよく、 二種以上を組み合わせて担持させてもよい。
ペンタシル型ゼォライ トへの前記希土類元素の担持方法としては特に制 限はなく、 従来公知の方法の中から、 適宣選択して用いることができる。 例えば、 酢酸塩、 硝酸塩、 ハロゲン化物、 硫酸塩、 炭酸塩などの塩類、 あるいはアルコキシド、 ァセチルァセトナトなどを用い、 イオン交換法、 含浸法、 水熱合成法、 その他の方法により、 所望の希土類元素を酸化物と して、 ペンタシル型ゼォライ トに担持させる。
このように、 希土類元素が酸化物として担持されたペンタシル型ゼオラ ィ トは、 副生物の生成原因となる水素移行反応を抑制する効果を有し、 軽
質ォレフィン類の収率を向上させることができる。
なお、 希土類元素の酸化物は、 ペンタシル型ゼォライ トに担持された状 態であることが必要であり、 パインダーと共にペンタシル型ゼォライ トと 物理的に混合したのみでは、 本発明の触媒としての効果は得られない。
(a) 成分に用いられるペンタシル型ゼオライ トは、 触媒活性の面から、 S i 02/A 1 2〇3 (モル比) が 2 5〜8 00の範囲にあることが好まし く、 より好ましくは 3 0〜6 00、 さらに好ましくは 40〜3 0 0である c また、 該ペンタシル型ゼオライ トに担持される希土類元素の量は、 この ペンタシル型ゼオライ ト中のアルミニウムに対し、 原子比で 0. 4〜20 の範囲で選定される。
この原子比が前記 0. 4未満では副生成物である重質コークや芳香族成 分の生成が多くなり、 また前記 20を超えると触媒活性が低くなり、 軽質 ォレフィン類の収率が低下する。
前記原子比の好ましい範囲は、 0. 6〜 5であり、 特に 1〜 3の範囲が 好ましい。
この (a ) 成分に用いられるペンタシル型ゼオライ トとしては、 Z SM 一 5, Z SM_ 8、 Z SM— 1 1型などを例示することができる。
一方 (b) 成分の Y型ゼオライ トとしては特に制限はなく、 どのような ものでも用いることができるが、 特に、 USY型、 あるいは RE— USY や R E— Yなどが好適である。
本発明の触媒においては、 (A) 成分のゼォライ トにおける、 (a) 成 分である希土類元素を酸化物として担持したペンタシル型ゼォライ トと、
(b) 成分の Y型ゼオライ トの含有量は、 (a) 成分が 30〜 9 5質量。 /0 で、 (b) 成分が 5〜70質量%である。
(a) 成分の含有量が前記 30質量。/。未満では軽質ォレフィン類の生成 量が少なくなり、 また前記 9 5質量。 /0を超えると分解率が低下する。
( A ) 成分のゼォライ トにおいて、 好ましい (a ) 成分の含有量は、 4 0〜8 5質量%で、 (b ) 成分の含有量は 1 5〜6◦質量。 /。であり、 より 好ましい (a ) 成分の含有量は 5 0〜 7 5質量。/。で、 (b ) 成分の含有量 は 2 5〜 5 0質量0 /0である。
本発明の触媒においては、 (B ) 成分としてゼォライ ト以外の粘土鉱物 のみを用いてもよいし、 無機酸化物のみを用いてもよく、 また粘土鉱物と 無機酸化物を併用してもよい。 ,
ここで、 粘土鉱物としては、 例えば、 カオリン、 ベントナイ ト、 スメク タイ トなどが挙げられ、 無機酸化物としては、 例えば、 アルミナ、 シリカ, シリ力アルミナなどが挙げられる。
前記 (A ) 成分のゼォライ トと (B ) 成分の粘土鉱物及びノ又は無機酸 化物とからなる本発明の触媒においては、 (A ) 成分のゼォライ トの含有 量は 5〜9 0質量%の範囲で選定される。
. この含有量が前記 5質量%未満では触媒活性が低すぎて軽質ォレフイン 類の収量が低下し、 前記 9 0質量%を超えると流動床で使用した場合に、 触媒粒子の流動性が悪化する。
尚、 本発明の触媒において、 (A) 成分の好ましい含有量は 5〜 5 0質 量%であり、 特に 1 0〜4 0質量%の範囲が好適である。
本発明の触媒は、 例えば、 所定量の希土類元素を酸化物として担持した ペンタシル型ゼォライ トと Y型ゼォライ トを、 粘土鉱物及び Z又は無機酸 化物若しくはその前駆体と共に、 それぞれ所定の割合で均質に混合し、 ス プレー乾燥法などで乾燥処理することによって、 粒子状に成形することに より、 調製することができる。
本発明の軽質ォレフィン類の製造方法においては、 このようにして得ら れた触媒の存在下に、 前述の炭素数 2以上の炭化水素類を接触分解させる ことにより、 軽質ォレフイン類を製造する。
ここで、 軽質ォレフイン類とは、 エチレンやプロピレンなどを指す。 この方法における接触分解反応の様式については特に制限はなく、 例え ば、 固定床、 移動床、 流動床などの形式の反応器を使用し、 前述の触媒を 充填した触媒層へ炭化水素類を供給することにより、 接触分解反応が行わ れる。
特に、 連続再生式の流動床あるいは移動床を用いた接触分解反応が好ま しい。
原料の炭化水素類は、 必要に応じ、 窒素、 水素.、 ヘリ ウムあるいは水蒸 気などで、 希釈して用いることができる。
接触分解の反応温度は、 通常 3 5 0〜 7 8 0 °C、 好ましくは 5 0 0〜 7 5 0 °C、 より好ましくは 6 0 0〜 7 0 0 °Cの範囲で選定される。
この反応温度が前記 3 5 0 °C未満では十分な触媒活性が得られにく く、 一回通過当たりの軽質ォレフイン類の収量が低くて実用的でなく、 また前 記 7 8 0 °Cを超えるとメタンやコークの副生量が急増するおそれが生じる c 反応圧力は常圧、 減圧あるいは加圧のいずれでも実施できるが、 通常は 常圧ないしゃや加圧の条件が採用される。
以上のような条件下に本発明の方法を実施すれば、 従来の方法に比べて 比較的低い温度で炭化水素類を効率よく分解することができ、 エチレンや プロピレンなどの軽質ォレフイン類を高い収率で製造することができる。 次に、 本発明を実施例により、 さらに詳細に説明するが、 本発明は、 こ れらの例によってなんら限定されるものではない。
実施例 1
〔触媒 Aの調製〕
ゼォライ トとして、 粉末状のプロ トン型 Z S M— 5ゼォライ ト (S i 〇 2 / A 1 2 O 3 (モル比) 5 0、 比表面積 3 8 0 m 2 Z g ( N 2吸着法によ る測定値) ) を用い、 特開平 1 1一 1 8 0 9 0 2号公報記載の方法.に従つ
て、 ランタン酸化物を L a と して 1 0質量0 /。含む Z SM— 5ゼォライ ト ( 1 0 %L a / Z SM- 5と記す。 ) を調製した。
Z SM— 5ゼォライ ト中のアルミニウムに対する L aの原子比は 1. 1 であった。
次いで、 この 1 0%L aZZ SM- 5と、 東ソー (株) 製、 US Yゼォ ライ ト (HS Z— 3 30HUA) 、 力オリン及びシリ力アルミナを、 それ ぞれ 1 5質量%、 5質量%、 5 0質量%及び 5質量%の割合で混合し、 こ のものを、 アルミナゾル 2 0質量0 /。 (固形分として) とシリカゾル 5質 量% (固形分として) と共にイオン交換水に加え、 スラリーを調製した。 このスラリ一をスプレードライヤーにて噴霧乾燥処理し、 流動床型触媒 に成形して触媒 (以下、 触媒 Aという。 ) を調製した。
〔接触分解反応〕
次に、 触媒 Aを 1 00%スチームで 80 0°Cにて 6時間処理し、 擬似平 衡化させた。
下記組成のナフサを原料とし、 流動床型反応器を使用して、 擬似平衡化 させた触媒 Aの存在下に、 反応温度 6 0 0°C、 圧力 1 40 k P a、 接触時 間 0. 8秒、 スチーム/炭化水素 (質量比) 0. 5、 および触媒 Z炭化水 素 (質量比) 20の条件で接触分解反応を実施した。
結果を表 1に示す。
〔原料ナフサ組成〕
じ4留分 7. 2質量% C5留分: 5 2. 3質量%
〇6留分: 3 5. 7質量% C 7留分: 4. 8質量%
比重: 0. 6 5 ( 1 5/4°C) 分岐ノ直鎖比 : 0. 7 3
芳香族化合物 : 2質量%
比較例 1
〔触媒 Bの調製〕
U S Yゼォライ トを用いずに、 1 0%L aZZ SM— 5を 20質量0 /0、 カオリンを 5 0質量%、 シリカアルミナを 5質量0/。、 アルミナゾルを 20 質量%及びシリ力ゾルを 5質量%として触媒を調製した以外は、 実施例 1 と同様にして触媒 (以下、 触媒 Bという。 ) を調製した。
〔接触分解反応〕
実施例 1に記載したと同様に触媒 Bの存在下に、 上記組成のナフサの接 触分解反応を行った。
結果を表 1に示す。
実施例 2
ナフサの代わりに軽油 (蒸留範囲: 240〜 3 6 5 °C、 比重 0. 8 5 3 ( 1 5/4。C) を用い、 反応温度 6 3 0°C、 圧力 1 40 k P a、 接触時間 1秒、 スチーム/炭化水素 (質量比) 0. 5、 および触媒 炭化水素 (質 量比) 2 5とした以外は、 実施例 1と同様の条件で接触分解反応を実施し た。
結果を表 1に示す。
実施例 3
〔触媒 Cの調製〕
1 0 % L a / Z SM- 5を 1 8質量0 、 U S Yゼォライ ト (H S Z— 3 3 0 HU A) を 1 2質量%、 カオリンを 40質量%、 シリカアルミナを 5 質量%、 アルミナゾルを 20質量%及びシリカゾルを 5質量%とした以外 は実施例 1 と同様にして触媒 (以下、 触媒 Cという。 ) を調製した。 〔接触分解反応〕
次に、 触媒 Cを 1 00%スチームで 800°Cにて 6時間処理し、 擬似平 衡化させた。
軽油 (蒸留範囲: 240〜 3 6 5 °C、 比重 0. 8 5 3 ( 1 5 / 4 °C) ) を原料とし、 流動床反応器を使用して、 擬似平衡化させた触媒 Cの存在下
に反応温度 6 3 0°C、 圧力 1 40 k P a、 接触時間 1秒、 スチームノ炭化 水素 (質量比) 0. 5、 および触媒 Z炭化水素 (質量比) 2 5の条件で接 触分解反応を実施した。
結果を表 1に示す。
実施例 4
〔触媒 Dの調製〕
シリカアルミナを用いずに、 1 0 %L a /Z SM— 5を 20質量0 /0、 U S Yゼォライ ト (HS Z— 3 3 0 HUA) 5質量0 /0、 カオリンを 4 0質 量%、 アルミナゾルを 30質量%及ぴシリカゾルを 5質量%とした以外は, 実施例 1 と同様の方法で触媒 (以下、 触媒 Dという。 ) を調製した。
〔接触分解反応〕
次に、 触媒 Dを 1 0 0%スチームで 8 00°Cにて 6時間処理し、 擬似平 衡化させた。 軽油 (蒸留範囲: 240〜 3 6 5。C、 比重 0. 8 5 3 ( 1 5 /4。C) ) を原料とし、 流動床反応器を使用して、 擬似平衡化させた触媒 Dの存在下で、 反応温度 6 3 0°C、 圧力 1 40 k P a、 接触時間 1秒、 ス チーム/炭化水素 (質量比) 0. 5、 および触媒ノ炭化水素 (質量比) 2 5の条件で接触分解反応を実施した。
結果を表 1に示す。
比較例 2
ナフサの代わりに軽油 (蒸留範囲: 240〜 3 6 5°C、 比重 0. 8 5 3 ( 1 5/4°C) ) を原料とし、 反応温度 6 30°C、 圧力 1 4 0 k P a、 接 触時間 1秒、 スチーム/炭化水素 (質量比) 0. 5、 および触媒/炭化水 素 (質量比) 2 5の条件とした以外は、 比較例 1と同様に接触分解反応を 実施した。
結果を表 1に示す。

実施例 1 と比較例 1、 及び実施例 2〜4と比較例 2を比べて分かるよう に、 Y型ゼオライ トを含まない触媒を用いた場合には、 〇5留分以上の生 成物が多く、 エチレン、 プロピレンの軽質ォレフイン類の収率が低い。
これに対し、 本発明の希土類元素の酸化物を担持したペンタシル型ゼォ ライ トと Y型ゼォライ トを含有させた触媒を用いた場合は、 高いエチレン、 プロピレン収率が得られる。 産業上の利用可能性
本発明によれば、 炭化水素類を比較的低い温度で接触分解し、 エチレン、 プロピレンなどの軽質ォレフイン類を高い収率で製造し得る触媒、 及ぴそ
の触媒を用いて炭化水素類を接触分解し、 高い収率でエチレンやプロピレ ンなどの軽質ォレフイン類を製造する方法を提供することができる。
Claims
1 . ゼォライ ト 5〜9 0質量%とゼォライ ト以外の粘土鉱物及び/又は無 機酸化物 1 0〜 9 5質量%とからなる触媒であって、 前記ゼォライ ト成分 のうちの 3 0〜 9 5質量%が希土類元素を酸化物として担持したペンタシ ル型ゼオライ トで、 5〜 7 0質量0 /0が Y型ゼオライ ト (F A U型) であり、 かつ前記ペンタシル型ゼォライ トにおける希土類元素担持量が該ペンタシ ル型ゼォライ ト中のアルミニウムに対し原子比で 0 . 4〜 2 0の範囲にあ ることを特徴とする炭化水素類の接触分解触媒。
2 . 炭素数 2以上の炭化水素類を、 請求項 1記載の触媒の存在下に接触分 解させることを特徴とする軽質ォレフィ ン類の製造方法。
3 . 接触分解の反応温度が 3 5 0〜7 8 0 °Cである請求項 2記載の軽質ォ レフィ ン類の製造方法。
