- Each passing opening in the profiled sheet has a wall, located at an angle to the plane A of the sheet. It serves the purpose for the passing opening and the wall to have a S - like shape.
- the advantages of the filling according to the invention lay in the provision of an even distribution of the reacting phases in the entire volume of the filling, due to the profiled sheets, which assure equal path for the passing of the fluids. Besides, the specific accomplishment of the passing openings in the perforated sheets allows the separation of the fluid current into a multitude of separate laminar currents, thus increasing the intensity of the processes taking place in the column.

- the air is charged from the lower side of the filling and during its movement upwards in the form of bubbles it presses the liquid fluid to the walls of the sheets 2 and to the wall of the openings 3.
- the process of lamination of the fluid takes place in the following manner: the drops of liquid fluid, passing through the gaps between the separate sheets 2 of the filling, souse the profiled walls 4 where they fall under the influence of the gas bubbles. Thus the laminar movement of the liquid is resumed.
