Description

THREAD SUPPLYING DEVICE OF EDITING MACHINE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a thread supplying device of editing machine, a spinning machine, or a thread manufacturing and processing machine, which supplies a thread wound on a thread supplying reel to another thread supplying reel at a designated tension force through rotating disks.
Background Art
Generally, in order to weave textiles having a designated flatness by means of a knitting machine, or etc., a thread must be supplied to a thread supplying reel for forming the textiles and prevented from being supplied to another thread supplying reel under the condition that the thread has foreign substances such as dust stuck thereto.
As shown in Fig. 1, a conventional thread supplying device comprises a holder main body 2 including a lower leading eyelet 2a, an intermediate leading eyelet 2b and an upper leading eyelet 2c, which guide a thread supplied from a thread supplying reel 1 by inserting the thread thereinto, two disks 3 interposed between the lower and intermediate leading eyelets 2a and 2b for providing a designated tension force to the thread passing therebetween so that the two disks 3 are applied to each other by an elastic force generated from an elastic spring 3b located on a shaft 3a, and a sensor 4 provided with a sensing spring 4a contacting the thread passing through a gap between the intermediate and upper leading eyelets 2b and 2c, sensing breakage of the thread, and transmitting a stop signal to a knitting machine.
In the above-described conventional thread supplying device, the two disks 3 are located between the lower and intermediate leading eyelets 2a and 2b and the thread passes through a gap between the two disks 3 in order to provide a designated tension force to the thread. Accordingly, dust, paraffin, etc. stick to the two disks 3, thus causing a difficulty in providing a designated tension force to the thread and allowing the dust stuck to the two disks 3 together with the thread to be weaved into textiles. Disclosure of the Invention
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a thread supplying device of a knitting machine, which blows air into a gap between two disks, thereby eliminating dust and/or paraffin stuck to the disks.
In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of a thread supplying device of a knitting machine comprising: a holder main body including a lower leading eyelet, an intermediate leading eyelet and an upper leading eyelet, which guide a thread supplied from a thread supplying reel by inserting the thread thereinto; and two disks interposed between the lower and intermediate leading eyelets for providing a designated tension force to the thread passing therebetween so that the two disks are applied to each other by an elastic force generated from an elastic spring located on a shaft, wherein the shaft has a hollow structure and is provided with a hole having a radial shape at a position corresponding to the two disks, and one end of the shaft is connected to an air cylinder for blowing air into one end of the shaft.
Brief Description of the Drawings
The above and other objects, features and other advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional thread supplying device of a knitting machine;
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a thread supplying device of a knitting machine in accordance with the present invention; and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the thread supplying device of the knitting machine in accordance with the present invention.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Now, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the annexed drawings. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a thread supplying device of a knitting machine in accordance with the present invention, and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the thread supplying device of the knitting machine in accordance with the present invention.
As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the thread supplying device of the knitting machine of the present invention comprises a holder main body 2 including a lower leading eyelet 2a, an intermediate leading eyelet 2b and an upper leading eyelet 2c, which guide a thread supplied from a thread supplying reel 1 by inserting the thread thereinto, two disks 3 interposed between the lower and intermediate leading eyelets 2a and 2b for providing a designated tension force to the thread passing therebetween so that the two disks 3 are applied to each other due to an elastic force generated from an elastic spring 3b located on a shaft 3 a, an elasticity control member 5 inserted from one side of the elastic spring 3b into the shaft 3 a for controlling the elasticity of the elastic spring 3b, and a sensor 4 provided with a sensing spring 4a contacting the thread passing through a gap between the intermediate and upper leading eyelets 2b and 2c, sensing breakage of the thread, and transmitting a stop signal to the knitting machine.
Here, the shaft 3 a has a hollow structure, and is provided with a hole 11 having a radial shape at a position corresponding to the two disks 3. One end of the shaft 3 a is connected to an air cylinder 12 for blowing air into one end of the shaft 3a.
Hereinafter, function and effect of the above-described thread supplying device of the knitting machine in accordance with the present invention will be described in detail.
A thread supplied from the thread supplying reel 1 is inserted into the lower leading eyelet 2a, and passes through a gap between the two disks 3 prior to the intermediate leading eyelet 2b. Then, the thread is sequentially inserted into the intermediate leading eyelet 2b and the upper leading eyelet 2c. Thereafter, the knitting machine weaves clothes, socks, etc., out of various threads.
Here, the air cylinder 12 blows air to the two disks 3 through the radial - shaped hole 11 of the shaft 3 a having the hallow structure, thereby eliminating dust
(residual thread), paraffin, etc. piled up on the disks 3, which originate from the thread passing through the gap between the two disks 3.
Although the present invention discloses the thread supplying device used in the knitting machine, the thread supplying device of the present invention may be applied to a spinning machine or a thread manufacturing and processing machine so as to supply a thread thereto at a designated tension force.
Industrial Applicability
As apparent from the above description, the present invention provides a thread supplying device of a knitting machine, which blows air from an air cylinder into a gap between two disks for controlling a tension force of a thread through a shaft having a hollow structure located at central portions of the two disks, thereby preventing foreign substances such as dust (residual thread), paraffin, etc., from being stuck to the disks.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
