Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour commander des mouvements de changement de vitesse d'une boîte automatique (1) et d'un démultiplicateur (2) d'un véhicule automobile. Ledit démultiplicateur (2) présente au moins deux rapports. Les changements de vitesses de la boîte (1) sont réalisés selon au moins deux modes de fonctionnement différents: dans un premier mode de fonctionnement, la boîte de vitesse automatique (1) fonctionne avec un premier rapport engagé dans le démultiplicateur (2), et, dans un deuxième mode de fonctionnement, avec un deuxième rapport engagé dans le démultiplicateur (2). Les séquences de changement de vitesses sont réalisées essentiellement en fonction de grandeurs de conduite déterminées et au moyen d'au moins un appareil de commande (3, 6). Un levier sélecteur (4) et un dispositif d'actionnement (5) sont prévus. Le changement de rapports du démultiplicateur (2) peut être réalisé au moyen du dispositif d'actionnement (5) qui peut être commandé manuellement par le conducteur. On obtient ainsi une amélioration du confort pour le conducteur dans la mesure où les séquences de changement de vitesses nécessaires de la boîte automatique (1) et du démultiplicateur (2) sont réalisées automatiquement par l'intermédiaire de l'appareil de commande (3, 6) par déclenchement du dispositif d'actionnement (5) pouvant être commandé manuellement, ledit déclenchement étant effectué indépendamment de la position du levier sélecteur (4).
