Definitions

  • the invention relates to an adapter for producing an optical plug connection according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such adapters are used to couple incompatible plug parts to one another.
  • the pawl mechanism is particularly advantageous as a quick coupling, because the coupling process can be carried out by simple pressure in the axial direction of the socket. It has proven to be particularly advantageous if the pawl mechanism has two pawls movably mounted on the holding plate, which pawls can be locked against a biasing force behind corresponding abutments on the counterplate. The coupling forces are evenly distributed over the two pawls and the Preload ensures that the pawls cannot be released unintentionally.
  • the two pawls can be arranged on a slide which is slidably mounted on the holding plate transversely to the axial direction of the socket and which is biased into the closed position by means of at least one spring.
  • the sliding direction of the slide means there are no or only very small bending moments on the coupling. If the slide is a bent part made of metal, the pawls can be integrated particularly easily.
  • the slide can also have a bend formed as a grip piece, which overlaps an end face of the holding plate, the spring being a helical compression spring arranged between the end face and the bend. This angling results in particularly high ease of use. To release the quick coupling, simply push the slider on the handle to release the pawls.
  • the slider can be fastened to the holding plate by means of holding screws which are screwed into the holding plate through elongated holes in the slider.
  • Other management means such as lateral grooves or the like would be conceivable.
  • a particularly advantageous coupling is achieved if the locking flanks of the locking pawls which bear against the abutments in the closed position are inclined to compensate for play in their direction of movement.
  • the preload force on the pawls means that they always run up against the abutments and thus the holding plate is pressed against the counterplate without play.
