Abstract

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un hydrocolloïde en tant que prébiotique dans la préparation d'un produit destiné à être consommé. Cet hydrocolloïde présente l'avantage de libérer moins de gaz lorsqu'il fermente, sous l'effet de bactéries, dans le tractus gastro-intestinal après la consommation dudit produit. L'invention concerne également des compositions contenant ledit hydrocolloïde ainsi que des procédés d'utilisation desdites compositions dans des procédés de traitement.
