Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Elektrode für Hochdruckentladungslampen aus Wolfram oder einer Wolframlegierung und ein Verfahren zu deren Herstellung. Erfindungsgemässe Elektroden weisen einen mittleren Kohlenstoffgehalt 10 < 5 pg/g auf, wodurch eine hohe Lichtstromkonstanz bei Hochdruckentladungslampen ermöglicht wird. Die Herstellung erfolgt über Formgebungstechniken unter Verwendung von plastifizierten Pulvermassen, die eine endkonturnahe bzw. eine Endkontur-Fertigung ermöglichen. Die Sinterbehandlung umfasst eine Wärmebehandlung in einer ersten Atmosphäre der Zusammensetzung 10 Volumenprozent <= (H2 + H2O) <= 100 Volumenprozent, 0 Volumenprozent <= (N2 und/oder Edelgas) <= 90 Volumenprozent, wobei das Wasserdampf zu Wasserstoff Volumenverhältnis 0,003 <= H2O/H2 <= 0,15 beträgt und in einer zweiten Atmosphäre der Zusammensetzung 10 Volumenprozent <= (H2 + H2O) <= 100 Volumenprozent, 0 Volumenprozent <= (N2 und/oder Edelgas) <= 90 Volumenprozent, mit H2O/H2 < 0,002 oder wahlweise Vakuum mit einem Druck < 0,0001 mbar.
