Abstract

The invention relates to a rotor comprising a vertical axle for using energy of flowing media, such as the energy contained in wind, water courses and oceanic currents. The blades of said rotor can be displaceably arranged in such a way that they occupy a position which is self-guided according to the angle of rotation of the rotor in relation to the direction of the current, the angular position of the blades in relation to the current being directly determined from the acting forces created in the current by the rotation. According to the mechanical embodiment of the invention, guided connecting rods are connected to each blade, in such a way that they rotate at a distance from the rotational axis, and to a guiding body which is arranged in a freely displaceably manner in the centre of the rotor. The forces acting on each blade are transmitted, via the connecting rods, into rotating bearings which are arranged in such a way that they can be displaced on the guiding body along a circular path.
