Abstract

The present invention relates to a measuring vessel for packaging a liquid material, which enables one to measure accurately an appropriate amount of liquid material without using a separate measuring cup.

Description

A MEASURING VESSEL
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a measuring vessel with measuring scales on one side of its body, which enables one to measure accurately an appropriate amount of liquid without using a separate measuring cup. More specifically, it relates to a measuring vessel in which a part of the body with measuring scales (measuring part) is separated from the other part (storing part) by an L-shaped screen with the upside open for easy measuring.
Background Art
A conventional measuring vessel does nothing but function as a simple container for storing liquid or gel material, and cannot be used to measure accurately the amount of discharged material. Even though the vessel has measuring scales on its outer surface, it requires a separate measuring device since the scales are used only for rough estimation.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 1984-1942 discloses a detergent container with a measuring vessel constituted as an integrated body on its upside for measuring easily the amount of liquid detergent. Further, in Korean Utility Model Registration No. 1993-1057, there is described a packing container with one inlet and a measuring vessel constituted as an integrated body thereon. The measuring vessel has a separate outlet so that the contents may be measured by the measuring vessel and discharged through the outlet without opening the inlet of the packing container. Korean Utility Model Registration No. 244,825 (August 20, 2001) describes a medication vessel with a auxiliary medication passage which is directly extended from the neck of the vessel and constituted along the inside wall of the vessel. In this vessel, however, it is difficult for the contents to be transferred to the auxiliary medication passage for measuring. Further, the vessel needs to be tilted excessively when used since it has the outlet on its upper part. Accordingly, the medication vessel is unfit for packing vessels of large volume.
Disclosure of the Invention It is an object of the present invention to provide a measuring vessel for packing a liquid material which enables one to measure accurately an appropriate amount of the liquid material without using a separate measuring cup.
In accordance with the present invention, it is provided a measuring vessel comprising a body which is made of a transparent or translucent synthetic resin and has an inlet and a handle located at its upper part, wherein an L-shaped screen is mounted within the body with the upside open, a measuring part having measuring scales is divided from a storing part by the screen, and the measuring part is communicated with an outlet located at the lower part of the body.
In the measuring vessel of the present invention, a part of its body is divided by an L-shaped screen with the upside open, and the divided part has measuring scales. Further, the part with measuring scales is communicated with an outlet located at the lower part of the body, which enables one to measure an appropriate amount of liquid material.
Brief Description of the Drawings
The above and other objects, features and other advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the measuring vessel according to the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a vertical-sectional view of the measuring vessel according to the present invention.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail, in conjunction with various examples. These examples are provided only for illustrative purposes, and the present invention is not to be construed as being limited to these examples.
In a measuring vessel (1), a body is made of a transparent or translucent synthetic resin with an inlet (5) and a handle (6), and an L-shaped screen (2) is mounted in the body with the upside open. Measuring scales (4) are made in one side of the measuring vessel (1) divided by the screen (2). A measuring part (8), the part of body which has measuring scales (4) and is divided from a storing part (7) by the screen (2), is communicated with an outlet (12) located at the lower part of the body.
The L-shaped screen (2) is made of a transparent or translucent synthetic resin which is the same material as used in the measuring vessel, and mounted in the body with the upside open and slightly over the measuring scales (4). The L-shaped screen (2) may be constituted by the depression of the body from outside. A switch (3) may shut the flow of liquid material through the outlet (12), and is preferred to be constituted as a screw type with rubber packing (10) and cap (11).
The width of the upper portion of measuring part (8) and that of the lower portion of body with the outlet (12) is preferred to be in the ratio of 1:1.5 to 1:3.0. However, the ratio may be adjusted in proportion to the amount of liquid materials measured at a time.
Examples of the liquid materials to be used in the present invention are agricultural chemicals, detergents, and toxic substances. The measuring vessel of the present invention is conveniently applied to such liquid materials as are required to be used in a fixed quantity.
When the measuring vessel of the present invention is used, a liquid material such as agricultural chemical is poured into the storing part (7) of the vessel. Next, the vessel is tilted so that the liquid may be moved over the screen (2) to the measuring part (8). After reading off the measuring scale corresponding to the amount of liquid, an appropriate amount of liquid is discharged through the outlet
(12) by opening the switch (3). Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the measuring vessel according to the present invention when used.
As described above, according to the measuring vessel of the present invention, an appropriate amount of liquid may be safely discharged from the vessel only by using the switch, without tilting the vessel. The vessel of the present invention is very convenient to store and measure such harmful liquid as agricultural chemicals in a large scale. Industrial Applicability
The measuring vessel of the present invention enables users to measure accurately an appropriate amount of liquid without using a measuring cup, and therefore, it is convenient to store and measure such liquids as medicines, detergents, agricultural chemicals and toxic materials, which require accurate measuring, in a large quantity. According to the measuring vessel of the present invention, an appropriate amount of liquid may be discharged from the vessel by using the switch, without tilting it, and users are secure from the liquid in the vessel.
