Abstract

An inflatable air bag is made out of a strong plastic. The air bag has a tubular shape (B), and has one balloon-shaped inflatable air bag (C) connected to each end of it. Two strong metal rings (1xx) and (2xx) are mounted to the top and laterally (1xxx) and (2xxx). A hose (Z) is connected to the main air bag to inflate it. One inflatable air bag is hooked under the front of a car and one under the back of it. Then air bags are inflated using the hose (Z) of each one. The car will start to rise and will be floating on top of the water surface, where it will be moved to a safer place.

Description

INFLATABLE AIR BAG FOR LIFTING A SUBMERGED VEHICLE
This invention relates to inflatable air ba* s which lefts the vehicle that sunk during the flooding.
Heavy rains for a long time causes the water level in the river to increase and floods over the river sides and into the roads and streets, which is also rises the water level in the roads and streets up to 1 meters and 2 meters some times, this increase causes a lot of parked cars in the streets and in front of the houses to sink under the water, and of course as a result of this, 75% to 90% of the cars body will be under water and if thεv are left for few days in this situation, the engine will break down, all the other parts will be damaged and the cars chassis will get affected υy υi i uaiu

W oi i
So I came up with an easy, practical and fast solution, which will help the car float on the water surface using inflatable air bags, and easily dragged by one person on top of the water to a safe place.
It is an inflatable air bag, which is made out of a strong plastic to be used in a heavy duties, the air bag has a tube shape, it has a different sizes to suit different types of cars, and it also has one inflatable air bag (like a balloon) on each side connected to it, and four strong metal rings, two on top of it and two on its front, and a one meter long hose connected to the main air bag to inflate it.
To use this idea we have to use two strong metal chains with a hook connected to each side of each chain.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:-
Figure 1 shows the main air bag with the two small air bags connected to it, and it also shows the two chains that have to be used.
Figure 2 shows two air bags fitted under the car, one from front and the other from the back. And we could see the smaller bags appearing on the side of the car. Referring to the drawings it is an inflatable air bag, which is made out of a strong plastic to be used in a heavy duties, the air bag has a tube shape (B), it has a different sizes to suit different type of cars so it could be between 50 and 175 cm in diameter, and it also has one inflatable air baσ (like a balloon) (C^ on each side connected to it and four strong metal rinσs (Ixx^ and ^2xx^ on top of it and (Ixxx) and (2xxx) on its front, and a one meter long hose (Z) connected to the uiαi an uag .\J iiij-i tiv n.
To use this idea we have to use a strong metal chain (A), which is between 75 and 100 cm long with two hooks (lx) and (2x) connected to each side of it.
When we find a car that is sunk in the water, we start by bringing the inflatable air bags (B.C.C) and hook it from the ring (1 xx) using the hook (lx) from the chain (A), and then we bring another chain (A) and hook the air bag from the ring (2xx) using the hook (lx). We fit the air bags under the front of the car (in front of the front wheels) and then we place the chain (A)
Figure imgf000003_0001
We will find that the front of the car will start to rise to reach the water surface, and will also realise that the two side inflatable air bags (C.C) are outside the car's body which off course apart from helping the car floating on the water surface they also protect the front and back of the car and the car's sides in case if during dragging it gets hit by something or hit something.
And using the same steps we can lift the back of the car using the same set of air bags that has been used in front.
By doing this the car will be very easy to be dragged from (Ixxx and 2xxx) by even one person to a saver place.(figure 2)
We can use the rings (Ixxx) and (2xxx) to tie the car by a tree or anything to protect the car from flowing with the water flow and hit something.
