Definitions

  • the invention relates to a door assembly having motor-driven Brandtikbehang the conclusion of a door opening in industrial buildings or the like. In the 'case of fire so that the fire door assembly fulfilled completion fire resistance classes.
  • Fire protection door arrangements are known from practice, which are often designed as roller shutters with flexible fire protection curtains. With these fire protection door arrangements, a room closure with a high fire resistance effect is to be produced even in the smallest of spaces.
  • Three criteria are used to assess the fire resistance: First, the fire protection door arrangement must have sufficient inherent stability to be able to maintain the room closure at least for a predetermined period of time even in the event of a fire. Another criterion is the flame resistance, ie the period until flames can penetrate to the other side of the gate. The third criterion is the insulation effect of the fire protection curtain, whereby the temperature on the side away from the fire must not rise by more than 180 K.
  • the fire protection curtain essentially meets the requirements of
  • Fire resistance classes of the door arrangement which is why it generally has a relatively high weight.
  • Such a fire protection gate arrangement can therefore only be operated relatively slowly at, for example, 0.2 m / s. In practice, however, this is of minor importance, since the fire protection curtain usually remains wound up in the lintel area of the gate opening and is only closed once a month for test purposes. In the event of a fire, it is triggered automatically as soon as sensors detect smoke or heat. It then rolls either under its own weight or driven by a winding motor. When closed, this fire protection door arrangement fulfills the fire resistance classes according to DIN 4102. An example of such a fire protection door is known in practice as "stöbich System Fibershield". Another criterion is the fire resistance, that is, that the space-closing effect of the fire barriers is preserved and that Passage of fire prevented.

Due to their intended use, these curtains are subject to entirely different requirements than the two door leaves of the door arrangement according to the invention. This becomes clear, for example, from the fact that the insect or standard protection curtain can be operated manually. With a fire protection curtain, this is hardly possible due to the weight. In addition, a fire protection curtain must also be ensured that it is triggered automatically in an emergency. The construction of a roller shutter stem element resulting from DE 196 46 909 AI can therefore not be transferred to a door arrangement with a motor-driven fire protection curtain, which should also be provided with a high-speed door.

  • the fire protection door 3 is designed to be insulating, so that the fire-free zone on both sides of the fire protection curtain is shortened in such a way that the high-speed door does not have to be opened in the event of a fire. In this way, a particularly compact design of the door arrangement can be realized, even if an insulating fire protection curtain is associated with a greater structural outlay both for the curtain and for the frame and is therefore considerably more expensive.
