Abstract

L'invention concerne une palplanche (28, 30) servant à retenir des matériaux situés en dessous de la surface du sol une fois qu'elle a été enfoncée dans le sol. La palplanche (28, 30) comprend une pluralité de zones sensiblement planes (14, 16, 18, 20) et une pluralité de zones de pli (34). Les dimensions transversales de la rainure centrale et de la première et de la seconde nervure sont définies de façon que la résistance soit maximale, c'est-à-dire, que la première et la seconde nervure sont suffisamment petites pour éviter le gauchissement de la palplanche (28, 30) au niveau de la rainure ou des nervures et suffisamment grandes pour fournir à la palplanche les avantages, en termes de rigidité, apportés par des rainures et des nervures sensiblement planes.
