Abstract

The invention relates to virgin gourd seed oil which is incorporated in microcapsules which are subsequently fixed to any fabric that is used to produce clothes and underwear. In this way, a significant skin firming and toning effect is produced which is cumulative over time by means of the constant topical delivery of virgin gourd seed oil. According to the invention, the virgin gourd seed oil is used alone or together with other active agents.

The Cosmetic industry has put a large quantity of finished products on the market, using all kinds of dosage forms such as, for example: HE emulsions and

W / O, milks, ointments, hair lotions, shampoos, soaps, powders, sticks and pencils, sprays, body oils.

These finished products transport and facilitate the cutaneous availability of molecules or mixtures of molecules synthesized industrially by chemical means, by biotechnology or naturally contained in plant or animal extracts.

These molecules carry the desired biological activity which is at the very basis of the production and marketing of these finished products.

To deliver these molecules and these products at the cutaneous or capillary level, it is necessary to carry out a topical application, regular with, in certain cases, of the imperatives to respect like for example the repetitivity in a day, before or after another application of a product any additional.

To overcome this drawback and this constraint, it has been proposed to fix the molecules on the textiles of clothing and underwear by all kinds of physical or chemical processes (for example US 4234627, FR 2789073, EP 0436729).

With the prevention or improvement of wrinkles, firming and toning the skin tissue is one of the most sought after cosmetic effects.

The invention which is the subject of this patent application resides in the use of microcapsules containing virgin pumpkin seed oil fixed in a durable manner on all kinds of commercial textiles such as, for example, those of which the stockings and tights.

The desired firming and toning effects are obtained, which are very significant and of long duration, which will be illustrated in the remainder of this patent application. The encapsulation of virgin pumpkin seed oil can be carried out according to any conventional process or not, such as for example that described in patent application FR / 00.06604.

Depending on the properties desired for the final product (for example: stability over time or speed of delivery of the encapsulated product), it is possible to choose or adapt the encapsulation process, to obtain microcapsules whose size varies between 2 and 100 μm.

For those skilled in the art, it is easy to determine the average amount of virgin pumpkin seed oil trapped in the microcapsules, for example, from an aliquot of microcapsules which have been mechanically or chemically exploded before.

The quantity of virgin pumpkin seed oil in the suspension of microcapsules is 35 to 65% (w / w).

To illustrate this discovery, the following example will describe the firming activity observed over a period of five consecutive days with tights whose meshes have received microcapsules containing virgin pumpkin seed oil.

The study involved a panel of 18 volunteers who agreed to wear a pantyhose treated with microcapsules over a period of 21 days with replacement of the used pantyhose every 3 days and one day of fitting without pantyhose before switching to the following pantyhose: 6 tights are therefore assigned to each volunteer.

In the criteria for inclusion in the protocol is the absence of a slimming diet in progress controlled by weight gain at the start and end of the study and a BMI between

20 and 25 (weight / height ratio). The average age was 45 (20 to 65).

Three kinds of data were studied: • a clinical test to measure the perimeter (centimetric evaluation) of the thigh before the start and at the end of the study

• a clinical test to measure the firmness and elasticity of the skin by cutometry

The tights were 15D / 17DTX, composed of 88% polyamide and 12% elastane, known to produce a slight progressive compression.

The tights were previously treated with microcapsules containing virgin pumpkin seed oil according to a standardized protocol (impregnation rate at

Methodology

At the end of the 21 days, the panellists expressed themselves on a list of questions concerning the improvement of the skin condition and the overall feeling concerning the wearing of the pantyhose treated with the microcapsules containing virgin pumpkin seed oil. Out of 16 questions, 11 received an affirmative answer with a minimum percentage of 50%:

The improvement in the quality of the skin (improves firmness, refines the grain, smoother, more supple, better relief) is therefore clearly perceived by the majority of panelists and clearly confirms the mechanical results measured during this study. . Well-being and lightness come at the top of the statements made and are also statistically significant with the firmness of the skin.

These results clearly demonstrate that the treatment of the pantyhose with microcapsules containing virgin pumpkin seed oil makes it possible to firm and tone the skin which has been in contact with the treated tissue. This patent therefore describes the use of virgin pumpkin seed oil, incorporated into microcapsules, fixed by any means whatsoever, on any textile used for the manufacture of clothing and underwear, in particular on stockings or on tights to obtain an important firming and toning effect on the skin. The microcapsules have a size which varies between 2 and 100 μ and the suspension of microspheres intended for the impregnation of the tights contains between 35 and 65% (w / w) of virgin pumpkin seed oil.
