Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for eliminating an acoustically perceptible noise according to the features of the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Such a system is, for example, a hands-free device for a mobile telephone in a motor vehicle.
- the incoming signals are received via an antenna and fed to a control unit of the hands-free device to which the mobile phone is connected.
- the connection between the antenna and the control unit possibly with the interposition of other components of the system, is made via coaxial cables.
- a loudspeaker and a microphone are connected to the control unit itself in a known manner, the incoming signals (telephone calls) being reproduced via the loudspeaker. This reproduction produces acoustically perceptible and disturbing noises in the form of hum, particularly in the range of approximately 50 Hertz.
- the coaxial cable between two components of the system is completely separated, stripped (ie inner and outer conductors exposed) and the exposed ends are soldered to a circuit board.
- the circuit board is designed such that the inner conductor is looped through and a capacitor is connected as an additional component between the separated regions of the outer conductor. Then the board and the ends of the coaxial cable are sheathed to protect this area from external influences such as moisture and dirt particles.
- Such an approach has many disadvantages.
- it is necessary that the outer conductor (shield) of the coaxial cable must first be exposed. To do this, the outer sheath of the coaxial cable must be removed in the end area.
- a part of the exposed shield must then be removed in order to be able to cut the plastic sheathing that surrounds the inner conductor of the coaxial cable to length, in order to be able to contact the end region of the inner conductor.
- a three-stage stripping of the end of the coaxial cable is required in order to be able to solder it to the circuit board and the capacitor.
- the circuit board must be equipped with the capacitor and the cable ends must be soldered to the circuit board.
- the sheathing of this arrangement is also necessary, this representing an additional work step and, because of its size, this area represents an obstacle when laying the coaxial cable inside the vehicle.
- this asymmetrical arrangement creates interference fields that reduce the desired effect.
- the additional contact points in particular the soldering points
- the additional contact points are susceptible to errors during operation in the vehicle due to the vibrations and temperature fluctuations there, so that contact can be interrupted.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of effectively eliminating the disadvantages described at the outset.
- the capacitor is formed by a plug connection between a coaxial cable and a component of the system. This avoids, on the one hand, that the course of the coaxial cable has to be separated and put back together. On the other hand, there is no additional component in the form of the capacitor, since this is formed by the plug connection itself.
- the plug connection which takes over the capacitor effect, can be pre-assembled and can therefore be checked before installation in the vehicle. This significantly reduces the error rate after installing the Plant in the vehicle. It is also advantageous that no interference fields can arise with a rotationally symmetrical construction of the plug connection and thus the full capacitor effect is available.
- plug connection with the capacitor can be used on the component where the required installation situation (in particular installation space) is available and from a high-frequency point of view the effect of the capacitor is best.
- the use of the plug-in connection with a capacitor in the input area of the control unit of the hands-free device is particularly to be considered here, although other locations within the system operated with high frequency can also be considered.
- more than one plug connection with a capacitor can also be used.
- the plug connection has a plug (or a socket, a plug being assumed in the following), wherein a crimp contact of the plug at least partially pierces or comes into contact with an outer jacket of the coaxial cable and thus at least in one Fastening area forms the capacitor. Because of this arrangement, only a two-stage stripping of the end of the coaxial cable is required, since the crimp contact of the plug establishes both the mechanical and the capacitive connection to the end of the coaxial cable. By overlapping the
- the capacitor can be implemented within the plug connection in a simple manner by means of a simple fastening step, without an additional component being required.
- This also has the advantage that this plug connection does not build at all or only insignificantly larger than the plug connections previously used. Direct metallic contact between the outer jacket (shield) and the outer conductor of the HF connector must be avoided.
- the connection of the inner conductor of the coaxial cable with a corresponding conductor within the connector should be mentioned for the sake of completeness.
- the capacitance of the capacitor can be adjusted by the length of the fastening area. This offers the possibility of varying the value of the capacitance by appropriately selecting the length of the fastening area, so that an optimal value can be set for eliminating the acoustically perceptible and disturbing noise. Alternatively or in addition the value of the capacitance can also be adjusted by the force that has to be applied for the crimping process.
- a sleeve forming a dielectric is arranged on an inner conductor of the coaxial cable.
- the inner conductor of the coaxial cable is exposed and an electrically non-conductive sleeve is slid on, this sleeve being arranged within the fastening area of the plug.
- the value of the capacitance of the capacitor can also be set. This also prevents direct contact between the shield of the coaxial cable and the plug (generally the connector).
- the value of the capacitor can be adjusted in a particularly advantageous manner by the dielectric used between the contacts (in particular the sheath material of the coaxial cable) and the length of the crimping area and the crimping force used. It is important to ensure that the value of the capacitor is selected so that the acoustically perceptible and disturbing noises are suppressed. This depends, in particular, on all the properties of the system operating at high frequency, a significant variable being the frequency or frequency range with which the system is operated.
- the amount of resistance of the capacitor which is dependent on the frequency, should preferably be very small, that is to say preferably less than 10 ohms and in particular less than the value of 1 ohm. In any case, direct contact of the shield of the coaxial cable with the external conductor contact of the RF connector must be avoided, since such a contact would short-circuit the capacitor and thus render it ineffective.
- a plastic sheathing and a shielding of the coaxial cable form a gradation. This gradation ensures that after stripping there can be no electrical contact between the inner conductor and the shield or the areas of the plug involved in order to avoid high-frequency interference from this electrical connection.

This could arise especially if the shield 3 is a wire mesh and individual wires of this mesh have not been cut cleanly.

Description
Kondensator in Steckverbindung
Technisches Gebiet
