Abstract
L'invention concerne une fraise à queue conçue pour le fraisage mécanique et comprenant un support de matrice de découpage constitué d'une queue de serrage et d'un corps de réception pourvu d'une fente ouverte diamétrale se trouvant du côté situé à distance de la queue de serrage. Une plaquette amovible constituée de métal dur est insérée de manière amovible dans ladite fente. Cette plaquette comporte deux arêtes tranchantes à symétrie de révolution faisant saillie au moins au-delà de la face avant du corps de réception du support de matrice de découpage. L'objectif de l'invention est de pouvoir guider l'agent réfrigérant jusqu'aux arêtes tranchantes de la plaquette amovible à travers la fraise à queue. A cet effet, un canal d'agent réfrigérant s'étend coaxialement à travers la queue de serrage du support de matrice de découpage et se prolonge vers ladite fente du corps de réception sous la forme de deux branches de canal auxquelles sont reliés deux canaux d'extrémité menant aux arêtes tranchantes au niveau des deux côtés de la matrice de découpage.
