Für die Erfindung ist wesentlich, daß die zu den Schneiden der aus Hartmetall bestehenden Wendeschneidplatte hinfüh- renden Endkanäle sich im Bereich der Flanke des Schlitzes im Aufnahmekörper des Schneidplattenhalters sowie den gegenüberliegenden, sich daran abstützenden Seitenflächen der aus Hartmetall bestehenden Wendeschneidplatte befinden. So muß die Wendeschneidplatte, welche im Schneidplattenhalter diametral zur Rotationsachse angeordnet ist, nicht in Richtung dieser Achse oder parallel dazu durchbohrt werden.
