  • Purified peptides were characterized by analytical RP-HPLC, mass spectrometry and amino acid analysis.
  • the RP-HPLC analyses was performed on a Vydac C4 column (4.6 x 250 mm, 300 ,5 ⁇ m) using a linear gradient of water/0.1 %trifluoroacetic acid (A) and acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (B) at a flow rate of 1ml/min and 1% B/mm, starting at 10%B.
  • Peptide concentration was determined by amino acid analysis and micro-BCA protein assay.
