Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de désacidification d'un pétrole brut et/ou d'un produit de distillation de pétrole brut contenant des acides organiques, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes: (a) mise en contact du pétrole contenant des acides organiques avec un solvant polaire comprenant un alcool aliphatique en C1 à C6 en la présence d'un sel de métal du Groupe IA et/ou du Groupe IIA choisi parmi le groupe comprenant les oxydes, hydroxydes et alcoxydes de métal du Groupe IA et/ou du Groupe IIA de sorte qu'au moins une partie des acides organiques sont convertis en leurs sels de neutralisation du Groupe IA et/ou du Groupe IIA, et qu'au moins une partie des sels de neutralisation sont extraits dans le solvant polaire en tant que phase extrait; (b) séparation d'une phase huile qui est réduite en acidité à partir de la phase extrait à solvant polaire; et (c) mise en contact de la phase extrait à solvant polaire avec un catalyseur d'estérification hétérogène dans des conditions efficaces pour convertir au moins une partie des sels de neutralisation du Groupe IA et/ou du Groupe IIA pour obtenir les esters correspondants des acides organiques et l'alcool aliphatique en C1 à C6.
