Abstract

La présente invention concerne la dégradation des protéines Cry de Bacillus thuringiensis dans le tractus digestif des mammifères. Elle a pour objet des protéines Cry de Bacillus thuringiensis dont la séquence peptidique a été modifiée de manière à les rendre sensibles aux enzymes spécifiques du tractus digestif des mammifères, en particulier aux pepsines. Selon cette invention, les protéines Cry sont modifiées par insertion de sites de coupure par la pepsine dans leur séquence peptidique. L'invention concerne également des plantes transformées exprimant ces protéines Cry modifiées.
