Abstract

Die Filterpackung wird in ein Filtergehäuse (9) mit einem Zulauf (10) und einem Ablauf (11) für das medium eingesetzt. Die Filterpackung weist einen internen Strömungsweg auf, durch den ein Teil des zu filternden Mediums ungefiltert strömt. In diesem Strömungsweg (2; 15, 2) ist vorzugsweise ein Überdruckventil (12) gelegen, das unterhalb eines gewissen Druckwertes den Strömungsweg verschließt und oberhalb dieses Wertes den Strömungsweg freigibt. Eine derartige Filterpackung wird bevorzugt zum Filtern von Motoröl benutzt, wobei sicher gestellt ist, dass der Motor sofort nach dem Start mit Öl versorgt und geschmiert wird. Die Filterpackung kann noch mit einem Zusatz zur Verbesserung der Qualität des gefilternten Mediums imprägniert sein.
