Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes suivantes : introduction de données définissant une forme théorique du corps rembourré (corps rembourré théorique), numérisation du corps rembourré théorique en un modèle conceptuel, calcul de la coupe du revêtement en fonction du modèle conceptuel, calcul des forces de revêtement agissant sur le modèle conceptuel virtuellement équipé du revêtement, calcul de la modification nécessaire du modèle conceptuel en fonction des forces de revêtement afin de créer un modèle d'outil correspondant au corps rembourré sans revêtement et prenant, une fois revêtu, la forme théorique prédéfinie du corps rembourré.
