Abstract

L'invention concerne une fibre optique plastique du type à saut d'indice et à grande ouverture numérique (NA), à faible perte de transmission sur une large gamme de longueurs d'ondes et à faible perte par courbure, dans laquelle les matériaux d'un coeur et d'une gaine se composent d'une fluororésine amorphe ne présentant sensiblement aucun atome d'hydrogène, et le matériau de coeur utilise une fluororésine amorphe présentant un indice de réfraction supérieur ayant jamais été atteint, et/ou le matériau de gain utilise une fluororésine amorphe présentant un indice de réfraction inférieur à ceux atteints auparavant, augmentant ainsi la différence d'indice de réfraction entre les deux matériaux.
