Abstract

La présente invention concerne un élément constitué d'un substrat à la surface duquel se trouve une couche intermédiaire en un matériau qui n'est pas l'oxyde de titane mais qui dispose d'une fonction photocatalytique. A cette couche intermédiaire adhère une couche superficielle à fonction photocatalytique à base d'oxyde de titane. En l'occurrence, le matériau photocatalytique autre que l'oxyde de titane présente à l'extrémité inférieure d'une bande de conduction un potentiel positivement supérieur à 0 volt par rapport au potentiel d'une électrode à l'hydrogène standard pour un pH de 7, et à l'extrémité supérieure de cette bande de valence un potentiel positivement supérieur à 2,7 volts par rapport au potentiel d'une électrode à l'hydrogène standard pour un pH de 7. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de cet élément. Cet élément se distingue par une hydrophilicité le dotant de propriétés antibuée et anti-tache, même en cas de faible quantité de photocatalyseur ou de lumière faible.
