  • CO 2 is used for, inter alia, carbonating soft drinks, beers and mineral water and the rapid freezing of foods.

  • An outgoing CO 2 -depleted gas stream (3) issues from the absorber (A).
  • This gas stream in general has a residual CO2 content of only 0.5 % (V/V). Because this stream contains more water (vapour) than the incoming gas stream, make-up water (2) is metered in.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé de récupération du CO2 très pur présent dans des fumées comportant les étapes suivantes: a) absorption du CO2 des fumées par un solvant contenu dans un absorbeur, tandis qu'un courant gazeux appauvri en CO2 et un flux de solvant enrichi en CO2 quittent l'absorbeur et b) désorption du CO2 absorbé dans un désorbeur tandis qu'un courant gazeux enrichi en CO2 et un flux de solvant appauvri en CO2 quittent le désorbeur. Le solvant utilisé est une solution aqueuse contenant une alcanolamine et un activateur. On utilise de préférence une combinaison de méthyldiéthanolamine et de pipérazine. On récupère ainsi un CO2 très pur dit de haute pureté ou de niveau alimentaire.
