Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Betätigungseinheit (1) für eine elektrohydraulische Bremsanlage vom Typ 'Brake-by-wire', die als ein Tandemhauptzylinder (2) ausgebildet ist, dessen erster (20) und zweiter Kolben (30) durch jeweils eine Rückstellfeder (114, 115) entgegen der Betätigungsrichtung vorgespannt sind. Der erste Druckraum (4) des Tandemhauptzylinders ist mit einem hydraulischen Raum (119, 219) verbunden, der von einem Simulatorelement (118, 218) begrenzt wird. Andererseits begrenzt das Simulatorelement (118, 218) eine Simulatorfeder (122) aufnehmende Simulatorkammer (121, 221), die mit einem Druckmittelvorratsbehälter (6) verbunden ist. Dabei ist eine Ventileinrichtung (123, 124, 217, 224, 140) vorgesehen, die die hydraulische Verbindung (123, 217) zwischen Simulatorkammer (121, 221) und Druckmittelvorratsbehälter (6) bzw. zwischen dem ersten Druckraum (219) und dem hydraulischen Raum (219) absperrt bzw. freigibt. Um die Betriebssicherheit einer mit der erfindungsgemäßen Betätigungseinheit ausgestatteten Bremsanlage zu erhöhen, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß Mittel (50, 116) zur Überprüfung der Funktion der Ventileinrichtung (123, 124; 217, 224, 140) vorgesehen sind.
