Abstract

L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne (1) destiné en particulier à un véhicule motorisé, comportant un catalyseur (12) pouvant être alimenté avec des oxydes d'azotes. Une sonde lambda (13) sert à la mesure de la concentration de l'oxygène en aval du catalyseur (12). Un appareil de commande (18) permet d'augmenter la quantité d'oxydes d'azote amenée au catalyseur (12), et la capacité de conversion du catalyseur (12) peut être déduite d'une augmentation de la concentration de l'oxygène en aval du catalyseur (12).
