Definitions
- the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Modern communication connections are carried out via satellites if required.
- the provision of broadband Internet access via satellite is currently being planned.
- a participant creates an individual connection to the satellite and from there via the central satellite ground station a further connection to the Internet.
- the problem with such a configuration is that the use of satellites for this purpose is relatively expensive. This has among other things the reason for this is that the mm walls of the house area used for a single connection cannot penetrate. This means that mobile end devices cannot be directly connected to the satellite.
- the solution would be to install a satellite antenna on the roof of a house, which can be connected to the end device via appropriate lines or a wireless connection at other frequencies. Overall, the problem of economy arises with such a device.
- the invention is based on the object of specifying a device for how mobile subscriber terminals can be efficiently connected to the Internet.
- the invention is achieved on the basis of the preamble of claim 1 by the features specified in the characterizing part.
- An advantage of the invention is in particular that the connection of several subscribers in a microcellular radio network (wireless LAN) to the satellite via a common interface. place takes place.
- This is as a satellite access point (Satel ⁇ lite Access Point) SAP defined and formed as a satellite terminal.
- the circuit networks in wireless vitalan ⁇ (Wireless LANs) wired supply used starting point (Wired Access Point) WAP replaced by the transition point Satellitenzu ⁇ SAP.
- This forms the interface to the fixed network via the satellite.
- the microcells are thus connected to the Internet via the satellite. Since a Satelli ⁇ tenzugangstician a variety can connect microcells, the costs are distributed to all connected devices. This makes the solution economically very cost-effective.
- FIG. 2 shows a configuration by means of which mobile subscribers are connected to a fixed network
- FIG. 3 shows a configuration by means of which mobile subscribers are connected to a fixed network via satellite
- FIG. 2 shows how mobile terminals are currently connected to a fixed network FN via a wireless subscriber access network are introduced.
- microcells MZ ⁇ ... MZ meters are forms ge ⁇ .
- MZi, MZ m _ ⁇ and MZ m are shown .
- MZ m _ ⁇ are respectively arranged transmission devices, which are designed as radio base stations R ⁇ ... R m. Accordingly, therefore cell in micro- MZi is the radio base station R ⁇ zugeordent, the micro cell MZ m - ⁇ the radio base station R m - ⁇ etc. to the radio-Ba ⁇ sis stations are the Subscriber terminals TLN x , y connected via a wireless connection.
- the radio base stations are brought directly or indirectly (as in the case of the connection V im ) to an interface WAP via further connections V m , V m .
- This has a direct connection V F N to the fixed network FN.
- the typical diameter of a microcell is on the order of several 100 m. If sufficiently low frequencies (eg in the 900 MHz range) can be used, this enables the penetration of walls and thus the use of mobile end devices in the house.
- a subscriber TLN n wants to create an Internet connection to the fixed network FN, this can be done via the radio base station R m _ ⁇ directly via the connection V m _ ⁇ . If the subscriber TLN X in the micro cell MZ m wishes to have an Internet connection to the fixed network FN, this is done via the radio base station R m . However, if there is already a connection, for example from the subscriber TLNi via the radio base station R m to the wired access point WAP, dynamic problems arise on the connection V m , since the capacity of the radio base station R m does not affect the subscriber TLN X. is fully available. Since in practice several micro cells may be arranged one behind the other, the signal of the most distant subscriber may have to pass through many radio base stations. As a result, the efficiency of data transmission is no longer given in this known configuration.
- a satellite terminal VSAT is now used as the interface to the fixed network FN.
- This then has the function of a satellite access point (Satel lite ⁇ Access Point SAP) and replaces the current access point ⁇ WAP.
- the corresponding relationships are shown in Fig. 3.
- microcells MZi, MZ m - ⁇ and MZ m are shown, which are connected to the Satelli ⁇ tenterminal VSAT via connections V ⁇ m , V m _ ⁇ , V m .
- the satellite terminal VSAT is installed on a light ⁇ or utility pole. This creates the possibility of a simple power supply. Any further wiring is unnecessary.
- This solution also allows a very flexible spatial assignment of the satellite access points SAP to the microcell clusters.
- the arrangement of the wired access point WAP is limited by the spatial configuration.
- the wired access point WAP cannot easily be installed in a central location between the microcells, as the environment may not allow this (street, subway, etc.).
- the spatial arrangement of the VSAT satellite terminal is not subject to any restrictions, since it can be installed at any location.
- This advantage enables an advantageous configuration to be created, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the microcells are brought directly to the Satellite Access Point SAP. Restrictions in the efficiency of the data transmission as in the configuration according to FIG. 2 do not have to be accepted here or only to a considerably lesser extent, since the number of microcell radio base stations to be traversed is significantly reduced and at the same time the payload is reduced , As a result, higher available data rates per subscriber can be provided.

Abstract
Description
Beschreibung
