Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés, des systèmes et un appareil permettant à n'importe qui, y compris aux consommateurs ignorant tout de l'informatique, de profiter de la compétitivité globale d'achat et de prix qu'offre Internet. Le consommateur s'approche d'une unité de vidéoconférence et interagit verbalement avec un courtier à distance apparaissant sur le moniteur de l'unité. L'image vidéo du consommateur peut également apparaître sur le moniteur du courtier, mais un obturateur de confidentialité peut être utilisé afin de rendre le visage du consommateur méconnaissable. Le courtier travaille depuis une unité de commande de courtage équipée d'un ou de plusieurs moniteurs vidéo et affichages de données afin d'interagir avec plusieurs consommateurs. Dans un dialogue face à face, le consommateur exprime simplement et verbalement son intérêt pour un produit ou un service. Le courtier propose alors au consommateur de lui montrer une publicité multimédia concernant le produit ou le service, et de chercher dans toutes les sources disponibles en ligne le prix le plus compétitif. Le courtier, très à l'aise avec Internet et l'informatique, formule ses expertes recherches en ligne et connecte les courants de données multimédia appropriés à l'unité de vidéoconférence du consommateur. Pendant que le consommateur regarde la publicité, le courtier peut formuler des questions par voie électronique concernant le prix et la disponibilité des produits ou des services aux diverses sources en ligne et peut afficher les résultats sur le moniteur du consommateur, ou peut lui-même annoncer le meilleur prix par voie vocale. Le consommateur peut alors confirmer son intention d'acheter le produit ou le service et procéder au paiement par carte de crédit ou autre moyen de paiement.
