Abstract

A method of producing a layer of lithiated material is provided wherein a mixture of Li(acac) and Co (acac)3 is dissolved in solution (50). The solution is deposited upon a substrate (56) by atomizing t he solution (52), passing the atomized solution into a heated gas stream (51) so as to vaporize the solution, and directing the vaporized solution (55) onto a substrate (56).
