This ensures, in a simple manner, that the garments in the curved track sections always automatically hang with a larger space between them, making them easier to gain access to, in particular for the purpose of loading and unloading the carousel 1.
  • the carousel 1 comprises two endless conveyor members 2 which are arranged one below the other and are driven synchronously by the drive wheel 7.
  • Each bearing arm 10 is designed in the form of a V-shaped fork and is supported on both conveyor members

  • the use of chains has the advantage that the length of a device which is to be constructed can easily be adjusted as desired, by varying the number of links. In this way, the device can easily be adapted to the size or number of garments which is to be attached to a bearing arm.

  • the locking of the door 21 is controlled by control means which, as a function of a position code which is to be input, firstly ensure that a bearing-arm position associated with this code moves to directly behind the access door 21, and only then release the door 21. The user can then open the door 21 and hang a clothes hanger bearing garment 13 from the bearing arm 10 in front of the door or, if desired, remove a hanger therefrom.
  • the access door 21 is closed and a subsequent user can input his position code and hang his garment in the carousel or remove it again.
  • the conveyor member can advantageously rotate in two directions, so that the time which is required to release a specific bearing-arm position can be minimized.
  • the control means are designed to ensure, after a personal code has been input, that the empty bearing-arm position which is closest to the door 21 moves to immediately behind the door 21. The user can then open the door 21, hang a garment on a clothes hanger and close the door 21 again. From that moment, this bearing-arm position is linked to the personal code. The next time this code is input, the control means ensure that the associated bearing-arm position moves to behind the door 21, so that the user can remove his garment again .
  • a movable partition 24 is provided behind the access door 21.
  • the partition 24 can move between a free position (Fig. 4) and a shielding position (Fig. 5) .
  • the free position the bearing arms with the garments 13 hanging from them can move freely past the partition 24.
  • the shielding position two parts of the partition 24 are positioned on either side of a bearing arm 10 and thus shield the bearing-arm position lying behind the access door 21 from the two adjoining bearing-arm positions.
  • the arrangement of partitions 24 is possible since the bearing arms 10 spread apart considerably in the curved track section 5.
  • the partition 24 is moved automatically between the free position and the shielding position by control means as soon as the desired bearing-arm position is situated behind the door 21 and the carousel 1 is at a standstill.
  • the partition parts 24 are each formed by segmented wall panels which, on the top and bottom sides, are connected to displacement means 25, which are diagrammatically indicated in Figs. 4 and 5 by dot-dashed lines and are formed, for example, by a chain which is guided along wheels 26. Since the wall panels extend from the top downwards over substantially the entire height of the carousel, garments on the adjoining bearing arms are advantageously completely protected from theft, but also from vandalism such as spraying with paint or other dirt.
  • the bearing arms with hook means are advantageously suitable for automatic loading and unloading.
  • the means for automatic loading and unloading can easily be arranged in the curved track sections, since there is always sufficient free space between the hook means in those areas.
  • the spaces which become available in the curved track sections are advantageously sufficiently large to ensure that loading and unloading can take place automatically even if the positions in front of and behind the bearing-arm position to be loaded are already occupied.
  • the device can also be unloaded and loaded randomly, making the device eminently suitable for sorting functions.
  • the device can also be used for a plurality of clients simultaneously. Each client can remove a desired number of garments from the carousel, after which new items can be added, without the entire carousel having to run until it is emptied, and/or after which a subsequent client order can be sorted.
  • the insertion station is provided at one end and the removal station at another end of the carousel. This makes it possible to carry out loading and unloading simultaneously.

Abstract

Ce système, qui est destiné à ranger des vêtements suspendus à des cintres et à en faciliter le retrait, comporte un carrousel (1) pourvu d'un convoyeur sans fin (2) auquel sont rattachés des éléments d'accrochage pour cintres (12), une unité d'entraînement (7), entraînant le convoyeur, et un rail le long duquel ce convoyeur (2) se déplace. Le rail est constitué de sections droites et courbes, convexes, (4 et 5, respectivement). Les distances entre les points successifs d'attache au convoyeur (2) des éléments d'accrochage sont calculées de manière qu'il y ait toujours au moins trois éléments d'accrochage dans la section courbe (5). Les éléments d'accrochage comportent des bras d'appui (10) attachés au convoyeur (2) et partant de celui-ci, des parties extérieures de bras d'appui comportant des crochets (11) pour les cintres (12) à suspendre. Ce système de rangement est conçu pour que, durant le déplacement du convoyeur (2) le long du rail guide, les distances existant entre les crochets (11) successifs augmentent à chaque passage dans les sections courbes (5) et diminuent à chaque passage dans les sections droites (4).
