Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kommunikationsmodul (KM) zur Anbindung an eine Steuereinrichtung (ST2) in einem Fernsehgerät (TV), mit einer Schnittstelle (SM) zu einem insbesondere drahtlosen Kommunikationsnetz (K), wobei das Fernsehgerät (TV) zur Wiedergabe der vom Kommunikationsnetz (K) empfangenen Bild- und /oder Tondaten dient.

Beschreibung
Kommunikationsmodul für ein Fernsehgerät
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kommunikationsmodul, welches in ein Fernsehgerät, in eine sogenannte Set-Top-Box oder in einen Satellitenempfänger eingebaut werden kann.
Das Kommunikationsmodul sorgt für die Anbindung, letztlich des Fernsehgerätes, an ein analoges oder digitales Kommunikationsnetz. Das Kommunikationsnetz beispielsweise nach dem GSM- oder einem zukünftigen Standard, ermöglicht damit den Empfang von Bildern, Sprache und Texten. All diese Daten oder Informationen können auf dem Bildschirm des Fernsehgerätes dargestellt werden.
Bei einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung dient das Kommunikationsmodul zur Verarbeitung und Speicherung von Daten, insbesondere Bilddaten, die mit einer Digitalkamera generiert wor- den sind.
Solche Digitalkameras als kleine, handliche Fotoapparate, insbesondere mit Zoomobjektiven, sind bekannt. Die mit diesen Kameras fotografierten Bilder können mit einer unterschiedli- chen Auflösung in einem digitalen Bildspeicher abgelegt werden. Der bei herkömmlichen Fotoapparaten bekannte Sucher kann durch einen, insbesondere schwenkbaren, LCD-Monitor ersetzt sein. Zur Abspeicherung der Bilder können auch Kompressionsverfahren, insbesondere nach dem JPEG-Verfahren, eingesetzt werden.
Zur Kamera wird eine sogenannte Flash-Card, beispielsweise eine Smart-Media-Karte, mitgeliefert, auf der die fotografierten Bilder gespeichert werden können. Die momentane Spei- cherkapazität dieser Karte beträgt ca 4 bis 8 MB. Je nach Bildinhalt und in Abhängigkeit von der Auflösung des Bildwandlers können darauf zwischen 6 und 100 Bilder gespeichert
werden. Die Smart-Media-Karte dient als austauschbarer Speicher. An Stelle der Smart-Media-Karte kann auch eine sogenannte MultiMediaCard (MMC) als wechselbare Solid-State- Speicherlösung für mobile Anwendungen in der Digitalkamera vorgesehen sein.
Die im Fotoapparat beziehungsweise auf einer der Speicherkarten gespeicherten Bilder können an einem herkömmlichen Fernsehgerät dargestellt, und auch zu Personalcomputern übertra- gen und dort bearbeitet werden. Ebenso ist eine Ausgabe der Bilder an einem Drucker möglich, wobei vorzugsweise Farbdruk- ker verwendet werden. Zur Ausgabe der Bilddaten weist die Digitalkamera eine serielle Schnittstelle auf.
Die Digitalkamera liefert in an sich bekannter Weise Bilder
(still video) . Es ist denkbar, daß sie auch eine Aufeinanderfolge von Bildern oder eine Serie von "Bewegtbilder" (video) aufnimmt. Sie kann im letzteren Fall, zumindest für eine kurze Zeitspanne, sozusagen filmen.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Benutzungsattraktivität eines Fernsehgerätes zu erhöhen.
Das erfindungsgemäße Kommunikationsmodul ermöglicht den Ein- satz beziehungsweise die Verwendung des Fernsehgerätes auch für Kommunikationszwecke .
Durch die Möglichkeit, Standbilder vom Fernsehgerät oder von einem angeschlossenen Videogerät zu drucken, ist für den Be- nutzer die Nutzung der angebotenen Dienste wie Homeshopping und Homebanking gegeben.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch die im Patentan- • spruch 1 angegebenen Merkmale gelöst.
Die Erfindung setzt eine Digitalkamera zur Generierung von Daten, insbesondere Bilddaten und/oder Audiodaten, voraus.
Zur Speicherung der Bilddaten ist in der Digitalkamera eine Speicherkarte vorgesehen. Die Speicherkarte kann beispielsweise in einen Aufnahmeschlitz an der Digitalkamera gesteckt werden.
Die Digitalkamera kann mit einem Sendemodul ausgerüstet werden. Der Sendemodul bildet eine in die Digitalkamera integrierte Funktionseinheit.
Der Sendemodul ist über eine Antenne mit einem Funknetz verbunden. Das Funknetz kann ein zellulares Funknetz sein, beispielsweise nach dem GSM- oder nach dem DECT-Standard ausgestaltet. Das Funknetz kann auch ein Mobilfunknetz der Zukunft sein, beispielsweise UMTS.
Zur Aktivierung des Sendemoduls kann ein entsprechende Bedientaste vorgesehen sein, oder die Aktivierung erfolgt beispielsweise durch ein Herausziehen einer entsprechend ausgebildeten Antenne.
Die Digitalkamera kann mit einem Monitor, beispielsweise auf der dem Objektiv gegenüberliegenden Gehäuseseite, zur Darstellung des momentan von dem Objektiv erfaßten Bildes ausgerüstet sein.
Die vom Objektiv der Digitalkamera aufgenommenen Bilddaten werden bearbeitet und in einem Datenspeicher abgelegt.
Die Digitalkamera kann ein Mikrofon aufweisen, und die vom Mikrofon aufgenommenen Audiodaten werden ebenfalls in dem Datenspeicher abgelegt.
Die Bilddaten und bedarfsweise die Audiodaten können ganz oder teilweise auch in der austauschbaren Speicherkarte abge- legt werden. Es ist denkbar, den gesamten Speicherplatz des Datenspeichers der Digitalkamera durch die Speicherkarte zu realisieren.
Die Bild- und gegebenenfalls die Audiodaten können über das Sendemodul an das Funknetz gegeben werden. Das Sendemodul weist hierzu die Antenne auf, die an einer Sendestufe ange- schaltet ist.
Bei der Digitalkamera können graphische Zeichen, insbesondere Texte, eingegeben werden. Diese Zeichen sollen beispielsweise einem Bild beziehungsweise den zugehörigen Bilddaten zugeord- net werden. Auf diese Weise kann ein Bild mit einem Text beschriftet oder allgemein mit graphischen Zeichen versehen werden
Die zu diesen graphischen Zeichen gehörenden Daten können dann ebenfalls, zusammen mit den Bilddaten und gegebenenfalls den Audiodaten, über das Sendemodul zum Funknetz übertragen werden.
Die vom Sendemodul der Digitalkamera abgegebenen Daten, ins- besondere Bilddaten, werden über das Funknetz zu mobilen und vorzugsweise stationären Endgeräten übertragen. Solche Endgeräte können ein Bildtelefon oder ein Personalcomputer sein, der mit den entsprechenden ISDN- beziehungsweise PC-Karten ausgestattet ist. Auch eine Ausgabe über einen Drucker ist möglich.
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand eines in der Zeichnung dargestellten Ausführungsbeispieles beschrieben.
Das erfindungsgemäße Kommunikationsmodul ermöglicht dem Benutzer eines Fernsehgerätes unter Anderem die Bearbeitung und Ausgabe von Daten, die mit einer Digitalkamera generiert worden sind.
In der einzigen Figur ist ein Kommunikationsmodul KM dargestellt, das zur Anbindung an ein Kommunikationsnetz K eine
Antenne A aufweist. An Stelle oder auch zusätzlich zur draht-
losen Verbindung kann das Kommunikationsmodul KM einen drahtgebundenen Anschluß an ein analoges oder digitales Kommunika- tionsnetz K aufweisen. Über den drahtgebundenen und/oder drahtlosen Anschluß können beispielsweise die Daten der Digi- talkamera empfangen, sowie wieder an andere Kommunikationsteilnehmer weitergegeben werden. Die Daten können auch zu einem Internet-Server übertragen werden.
Zum Datenverkehr mit dem Netz K weist das Kommunikationsmodul KM ein Schnittstellenmodul SM auf, an dem die Antenne A angeschaltet ist. Das Schnittstellenmodul SM enthält die zur Realisierung einer Luftschnittstelle erforderlichen Baugruppen, wie Funkteil, Logikschaltung und Datenschnittstelle, die für die Erfindung von untergeordneter Bedeutung und in der Figur nicht explizit dargestellt sind. Hierzu gehört auch die für den Funkverkehr benötigte SIM-Karte (Subscriber Identification Module) .
Das Schnittstellenmodul SM ist über ein nicht näher bezeich- netes Bussystem mit einer Steuerung STl verbunden. Die Steuerung STl des Kommunikationsmodules KM ist fest oder steckbar mit einer Steuerung ST2 eines Fernsehgerätes TV verbunden. Die beiden Steuerungen STl und ST2 bewirken letztlich die Darstellung der empfangenen Daten, insbesondere Bilddaten, auf einem Bildschirm BS beziehungsweise die Ausgabe von Tondaten über einen Lautsprecher LP. Zwischen dem Bussystem des Kommunikationsmodules KM und der Steuerung ST2 kann ein Schnittstellenbaustein benötigt werden.
Zur Bedienung des Kommunikationsmodules KM ist eine Bedienoberfläche vorgesehen, die durch den Bildschirm BS und beispielsweise eine Fernbedienung des Fernsehgerätes TV sowie durch entsprechende Steuerdaten in den beiden Steuerungen STl und ST2 realisiert ist (Onscreen Steuerung) .
Bei einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung ist eine Speichereinrichtung SP im Kommunikationsmodul KM vorgesehen. Die Spei-
chereinrichtung SP ist beispielsweise durch einen Massenspeicher, wie Festplatte oder CompactDisc, oder durch die eingangs beschriebene MultiMediaCard realisiert.
Die Speichereinrichtung SP ist mit der Steuerung STl verbunden. Die Steuerung STl dient hierbei zur Bearbeitung der Daten und zur Steuerung des Datenflußes zwischen der angeschlossenen Schnittstellen SM und der Steuerung ST2. Unter Bearbeitung soll auch die Auswahl der Daten, insbesondere der Bild- und Tondaten verstanden werden. Weiter können auch die Bilder beziehungsweise die Bilddaten selektiert werden, die endgültig für eine Speicherung oder zur Weitergabe vorgesehen sind. Zusätzlich kann festgelegt werden, ob die zu den Bildern gehörenden Audio- und gegebenenfalls graphischen Daten mit abgespeichert und bedarfsweise verändert werden sollen.
Weiter kann das Kommunikationsmodul KM eine Schnittstelle zur Ausgabe von Daten aufweisen. Hierzu kann beispielsweise eine Infrarot Sende- Empfangseinrichtung ISE vorgesehen sein, über die drahtlos Daten an einen Drucker zum Ausdrucken eine Bildes gegeben werden. An dieser Infrarot Sende- Empfangseinrichtung ISE kann auch ein externer Datenspeicher angeschaltet sein.
Standbilder vom Fernsehgerät oder von einem angeschlossenen Videogerät können auch in der Speichereinrichtung SP gespeichert oder über die Infrarot Sende- Empfangseinrichtung ISE ausgegeben werden. Hierdurch können beispielsweise die Standbilder zum Ausdrucken an eine Druckeinrichtung gegeben werden oder über das Kommunikationsnetz K verschickt werden.
Claims
1. Kommunikationsmodul (KM) zur Anbindung an eine Steuereinrichtung (ST2) in einem Fernsehgerät (TV), mit einer Schnittstelle (SM) zu einem insbesondere drahtlosen Kommunikationsnetz (K) , wobei das Fernsehgerät (TV) zur Wiedergabe der vom Kommunikationsnetz (K) empfangenen Bild- und/oder Tondaten dient.
2. Kommunikationsmodul (KM) nach Anspruch 1, mit einer insbesondere drahtlos ausgebildeten Ausgabeschnittstelle (ISE) .
3. Kommunikationsmodul (KM) nach einem der vorhergehenden An- sprüche, bei dem die Bedienung des Kommunikationsmoduls (KM) in die Bedienoberfläche des Fernsehgerätes (TV) eingebunden ist.
4. Kommunikationsmodul (KM) nach einem der vorhergehenden An- sprüche, mit einer Speichereinrichtung (SP) zur Speicherung von durch ein Kommunikationsnetz (K) empfangenen und/oder der vom Fernsehgerät (TV) empfangenen Daten.
5. Kommunikationsmodul (KM) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, mit Mitteln zur Auswahl und Bearbeitung der Daten, die über die Schnittstelle (SM) oder die Ausgabeschnittstelle (ISE) übertragbar sind.
