Wheel 15 has a much larger diameter than wheel 13 on motor spindle 7 and around these wheels a belt or a chain is placed (not shown in the drawings ) . The number of revolutions per minute of motor spindle 7, about 6000 revolutions per minute, will be geared down to 2000 rev./min. on driving spindle 14 (first gearing step).
  • Wheel 16 which is mounted on the other end of driving spindle 14, has a small diameter and has a chain or a belt (not shown in the drawings), which also drives a wheel 17 with a large diameter, which is mounted on an inner drum support 18, fastened in gable end 2 of the framing (second gearing step).
  • a smaller gear wheel 19 is axially fastened in the interior of the framing, which gear wheel 19 drives a gear wheel 20 with a larger diameter, which is mounted on driving spindle 14 inside the framing (third gearing step).

  • Coupling ring 25 is moveable in a lateral direction on outer drum support 18 and an electromagnet 26 is mounted around coupling ring 25 in the form of two windings 27,28, one hold winding 27 and one pull winding 28 and when electromagnet 26 is activated, it pulls drum cylinder 4 and disconnects it, and when the electromagnet is deactivated, coupling ring 25 is released and enters the drum and locks it.

  • This windlass design only needs a motor, which is half as large, and thus, it consumes only half as much energy as motors used in conventional windlasses, which is a substantial advantage, when the windlass is used on sailing boats, which often do not have a large electric currentcapacity. Also, it is light-weight and compact and its tractive force is up to 1000 kg and its weight is only 19 kg and additionally it is able to handle an anchor having a weight of up to 30 kg and using a band, preferably made of polyester, having a length of up to 60 m.
  • the windlass according to the invention facilitates the anchoring of a boat maximally for all the people onboard and is an extraordinary aid during single-handedly carried out excursions, since it is possible to easily and smoothly control the anchoring process from the driver ' s seat by means of the disconnection function.
  • the rope guide has a centered driving and the coupling allows a controlled and forced driving of the band, which makes it possible to wind all the band on the drum without trouble and this makes the windlass very space-saving.
  • the band which is made of polyester, is very durable.
  • the breaking point of the band is a s high as 3 tons, i.e. stronger than an 8 cm cable, and the side surfaces of the band allow a brake action in the water, which in its turn allows a positive resilient effect during the anchoring and the mooring.
  • the windlass has an electric current safe-guard, which releases automaticly, if and overload occurs, but which is reactivated immediately.
  • An automatic stop element disconnects the electric current and the anchor reaches a parking position with a crawling speed, in which it is fixed, completely automaticly.
  • a counter indicator is integrated into the windlass, which shows the fed length, which improves the safety during the calling and the removal of the anchor.
  • a buzzer is mounted in the windlass, which emits various sounds during the various working moments of the windlass, e.g. information about the direction of motion of the anchor.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un treuil/palan qui peut être utilisé dans de petites embarcations en mer ou à terre (voilier ou analogues, par exemple). Ce treuil/palan comprend quatre principaux éléments: une unité à tambour muni d'un cylindre à tambour rotatif conçu pour porter et enrouler un ruban, une corde, un câble, ou analogue; un bloc moteur; un groupe d'engrenages muni d'une pluralité de trains d'engrenages; et un ensemble de couplage comprenant un élément de désacouplement et un système d'entraînement réversible. Le bloc moteur (4) et l'ensemble de couplage (6) sont disposés à l'intérieur du cylindre à tambour (21) et le groupe d'engrenages est placé hors du châssis du treuil. L'ensemble de couplage comprend un élément de désacouplement, une bague de couplage à ressort de rappel (25) présentant des têtes axiales (43, 44, 45, 46) et, entre ces têtes, des espaces accueillant des chevilles (39, 40, 41, 42) montées axialement à la périphérie d'un support à tambour externe (23) portant le cylindre à tambour (21), la bague de couplage (25) ainsi qu'une roue dentée de couplage (22). Les chevilles (39, 40, 41, 42) sont conçues pour entrer en prise entre les têtes (43, 44, 45, 46), dans la bague de couplage (25), afin d'entraîner le cylindre à tambour (21) dans deux directions sélectives. Entre la face inférieure (47, 48) des têtes (43, 44, 45, 46), la bague de couplage (25) présente des surfaces de guidage (49) conçues pour guider les chevilles (39, 40, 41, 42) vers, par exemple, la position de désacouplement (50).
