Abstract

Beschrieben wird eine Vorrichtung zur gezielten Beaufschlagung einer biologischen Probe, vorzugsweise biologisches Zellmaterial, mit Schallwellen, mit einem Probengefäß, in dem die biologische Probe in suspendierter Form vorliegt, sowie mit einer die Schallwellen erzeugenden elektroakustischen Wandlereinrichtung, die außerhalb des Probengefäßes angeordnet ist, so daß die Schallwelleneinkopplung in die Probe durch die Probengefäßwand hindurch erfolgt. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß die elektroakustische Wandlereinrichtung Schallwellen mit einer Frequenz von zumindest 100 kHz, vorzugsweise von 500 kHz bis 5 MHz, erzeugt, und daß Mittel zum Fokussieren der Schallwellen vorgesehen sind, die die Schallwellen auf ein Probenvolumen innerhalb des Probengefäßes von etwa 50 νl konzentrieren.
