Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device with a virtual input device
  • a virtual input device is described in DE 196 12 949 Cl. This has an operating surface in the manner of an input tablet, which is formed by a table top. An image of an input device to be actuated, generally the key area of a keyboard, is projected onto the table top by a video projector. An electronic camera picks up the hand of a user operating the input device and forwards the image data to a computer. The finger pointing to a detail of the input device and its position with respect to the operating surface are recognized as such in a pattern recognition process.
  • the object of the invention is to adapt a device of the type mentioned to the different handling conditions.
  • the carrier can be adapted to the needs of a wide variety of users. In the event of service, the carrier can be lowered so far that the camera and the video projector are at working height.
  • the carrier is slidably mounted on a stand.
  • the latter preferably comprises two columns which are spaced parallel to one another and on which the carrier is mounted in a sliding or rolling manner.
  • a height adjustment device engaging on the carrier is arranged between the columns.
  • this comprises at least one endless belt which extends over a deflection roller and a belt roller driven by a motor and extends parallel to the columns and on one strand of which the carrier is attached.
