Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement for supplying a paste from a flexible storage container arranged in a dimensionally stable container with descending product guidance into a dosing device which promotes negative pressure, a follower plate being arranged on the flexible storage container and exerting pressure on the storage container and in the bottom of the container there is an opening.
- Liquid to pasty detergents are known in large numbers. These are generally tailored to household needs, which means that they should be sufficiently liquid and easy to pour and dose. Since they should also be stable in storage within a relatively wide temperature range, the use of organic solvents and / or hydrotropic additives is usually not possible. However, these additives are washing-inactive, comparatively complex and additionally require packaging volume or transport and storage capacity. In particular, a content of flammable solvents, which require additional safety precautions due to the comparatively high throughput of detergents in laundry plants, is a problem. Detergent concentrates of the type mentioned are therefore not or only of very limited use for laundries.
- Powder detergents are therefore mainly used in laundry companies. Since the exact dosing of such agents is problematic or labor-intensive, particularly in large companies with extensive automation, the agents are usually stored and dosed in pre-dissolved form as base liquors, i.e. an aqueous concentrate is prepared, which is then fed to the individual consumption points.
- the detergents usually used in laundries contain comparatively high proportions of washing alkalis, which are only soluble in cold water to a limited extent and also lead to salting-out effects. They cause phase separation, with the result that the organic components, in particular the nonionic surfactants and soaps, separate and cream.
- a detergent that meets these requirements is proposed in EP 0 295 525. It is a pasty detergent that places special demands on handling for dosing and mixing with water as a solvent. Such detergent pastes are transported and stored in large containers. It is proposed to place these storage containers in a removal device above the metering device and to guide the paste downwards. If a flexible container is used, it is proposed to place a follower plate on the container in the container, which exerts pressure on the storage container to ensure that the storage container is largely emptied. A generic arrangement is described in the publication.
- an arrangement 1 in which a fixed and open container 4 is arranged on the frame of a metering device 2.
- the tubular container neck 5, which extends downward around the container opening 9, has a tight contact with the outer flanks of an annular web, which is provided on the metering device 2, which is ensured by the sealing elements 10.
- a flexible storage container 6 is inserted that is filled with the paste to be metered.
- a follower plate 7 is arranged 6, which abuts the inner wall of the container 4. Additional sealing elements 12 are provided to support the seal.
- the follower plate 7 is movable in the container 4.
- a central recess 8 is provided on the underside of the follower plate 7. This has the effect that when the follower plate 7 completely sinks to the bottom of the container 4, the annular periphery of the follower plate can sink completely to the bottom, the parts of the container neck protruding into the container being received in the recess 8.
- the negative pressure can be generated by a special device.
- the injector already present in the metering device 2 is also used for this purpose. This injector, which works in the manner of a water jet pump, is always put into operation when paste is to be sucked out of the container 6 and metered. If a connecting channel is placed between the suction side 11 of the injector and the space between the container 4 and the container 6, the negative pressure can also be used to evacuate this space.
- vacuum is used for two different functions.
- the paste becomes through the negative pressure on the suction side 11 of the injector through the pressure-tight connection between the access 3 to the metering device 2 and the paste in the flexible storage container 6 sucked in and conveyed.
- a negative pressure is used between the flexible container 6 and the container 4 in order to allow atmospheric overpressure to act on the follower plate 7 so that it is lowered evenly.
- the connection of the space between the container 4 and flexible container 6 to the negative pressure of the suction side 11 of the injector can also be done can be achieved in that the channel of the container neck insert is not inserted pressure-tight in the access 3.
