Definitions
- the invention relates to a bow device with a middle part with a grip part for gripping the bow and two throwing legs, one end of which adjoins the middle part and the other end of which is connected to a bowstring of the bow.
- Bows of the type mentioned at the beginning have been used for shooting arrows as hunting and defense instruments.
- the throwing thighs are made of an elastic material that is deformed by tightening the tendon and thereby kinetic energy stores, which is partially transferred to an arrow adjacent to the tendon when the tendon is released. Attaching the tendon ends to the ends of the throwing legs generally causes the majority of the deformation energy to be effective in the region of the supporting opposite pole, ie in the region of the handle part or in the region of a rigid middle part.
- a concave-convex design of the throwing legs of a bow in turn has the consequence that the tendon comes to lie at a considerable distance from the middle part or the grip part when the bow is not under tension.
- This distance can be up to 40 cm and has an indirect disadvantageous effect on the acceleration force of a bow, since a distance of the chord towards the handle part predetermined by this distance is not used to accelerate an arrow in these conventional bows.
- a bow of the type mentioned is known.
- This bow is a recurve bow in which the provision of a plurality of deflection rollers provides a non-linear relationship between the amount of deflection of the tendon when the bow is tensioned and the restoring force exerted by the tendon on an arrow.
- the object of the invention is to provide a bow in which the path length of the bow string from the tensioned state of the bow to the untensioned state of the bow has an optimal length for accelerating an arrow.
- this object is achieved in that two deflection rollers are attached to the middle part, which deflect the tendon between the throwing legs when the bow is stretched towards the shooter.
- the deflection rollers according to the invention have the effect that the path length available for accelerating an arrow is extended from the tensioned state of the bow to the untensioned state of the bow to a few cm in front of the middle part, generally 5 to 20 cm, in particular 15 cm in front of the middle part .
- the deflection rollers according to the invention are preferably attached on both sides of the handle part, and are preferably arranged near the respective ends of the central part. Alternatively, however, they can also be arranged near the handle part.
- a device is provided with which the distance of the rollers from the central part can be adjusted.
- the device can be a telescopic linkage in which an inner rod is slidably mounted in an outer hollow rod and is releasably lockable with respect to the outer hollow rod via a fixing device.
- the locking device is preferably a screw mounted in the outer hollow rod with which the inner rod can be pressed in the direction of the inner wall of the outer hollow rod.
- the inner rod and the outer hollow rod are preferably each provided in the areas in which they can be pressed by the screw towards each other with a corrugation, which is designed so that a displacement of the rods against each other is safely prevented when the rods are pressed against each other by the screw.
- two tensioning pulleys for the tendon are attached to the central part.
- the tensioning deflection rollers according to the invention have the effect that the force acting on the ends of the throwing legs due to the tensile force of the tendon is directed backwards in the weft direction of the bow.
- the tensioning pulleys are preferably fastened on both sides of the handle and are preferably arranged remotely from the handle.
- a device is provided with which the distance of the tensioning deflection rollers from the handle part can be adjusted.
- This device can be a telescopic linkage in which an inner rod is slidably mounted in an outer hollow rod and is releasably lockable with respect to the outer hollow rod via a fixing device.
- the locking device is preferably a screw mounted in the outer hollow rod, with which the inner rod can be pressed in the direction of the inner wall of the outer hollow rod.
- the inner rod and the outer hollow rod are preferably provided in the areas in which they can be pressed towards one another by the screw with a corrugation which is designed in such a way that displacement of the rods against one another is reliably prevented when the rods are pressed against each other by the screw.
- the legs are each composed of two leg parts which are detachably connected to one another via a connecting device.
- a throwing leg composed of two leg parts in this way, throwing legs are created which are designed in such a way that the tendon comes to rest near the middle part or near the grip part of the bow when the bow is not under tension.
- the two leg parts preferably have a convex part and a concave part with respect to the weft direction of the bow.
- the convex part can be arranged near the middle part and the concave part can be arranged outside.
- the concave Part arranged near the middle part and the convex part can be arranged.
- the connecting device between the two leg parts is such that a change in the effective length of the outer part of the two leg parts can be set.
- the outer part can have an elongated hole in which a screw of the connecting device is guided, with which the outer part can be locked with respect to the inner part.
- the outer part of the two leg parts, from which a throwing leg is composed, is preferably adapted to the length and shape of the inner part and has such a length, or is arranged so that it can be displaced with respect to the inner part that at its other end attached tendon comes to rest in its central region in the vicinity of the handle part or the middle part of the bow when the bow is in its untensioned state.
- the distance of the tendon to the grip part or to the middle part should be in the range between 1 cm and 30 cm, preferably in the range around 15 cm.
- deflection rollers are provided at the ends of the respective outer parts of the throwing legs in the manner of compound bows known in the prior art. This further increases the range of the bow according to the invention.
- the devices to which the tensioning deflection rollers are fastened have a sufficient length and are made of a correspondingly elastic material in order to exert an accelerating force on the tendon or an arrow, which in addition to the force exerted by the legs is effective.
- the legs can each be formed in one piece.
- the devices are preferably curved, in particular concave / convex.
- the legs and can each be formed in one piece.
- a plurality of elastic devices can preferably be provided in the arch according to the invention.
- the plurality of elastic devices can be arranged one behind the other on the central part, or alternatively they can be arranged one above the other on the central part.
- the plurality of corresponding elastic devices increases their accelerating effect on the tendon or arrow.
- the arch according to the invention is shown below on the basis of preferred embodiments which are shown in the figures of the drawing. Show it:

- the arch is shown in a non-tensioned state.
- an arrow 21 is placed on an arrow support 22 of the central part 11 of the bow 10, and the tightened string 17 is placed under tension of the bow 10 around the cam 23 of the arrow 21 such that the Arrow 21 is ready to fire.
- the legs 12, 12 'and 13, 13' are clearly deflected relative to the non-tense arch shown in Fig. 1.
